About this trip

Swim Packing Adventure | Studland & Poole Harbour

4 - 6 July 2024

'Pack your raft and complete a three day swim'

Pack your raft (provided) and join us on a three day adventure, swimming the world's second largest natural harbour. Rich with nature filled islands and stories of pirates and celebrities who form the history of Poole Harbour.

Day one begins with an approximate 2 mile walk around the Studland penisula, before setting off on a gentle 3.25km group swim to our waterside campsite.

The nights will be spent at Cleavel Point, right on the waterside. Your own spacious, pre-pitched bell tent will be complete with single bed/s, mats, lamps and firepit.

Our private, on site, outdoor chef will rustle up an excellent camp side dinner for all.

On day 2, following a breakfast cooked on site, we'll swim approximately 2km to Brownsea Island, relax on the infamous island's beaches, home to Red Squirrels, peacocks and the founding home of the Scouts and playground of Enid Blyton's Famous Five.

Day 3 will take us on a direct route back to the start, following a waterside brekkie

Homemade cake then awaits you before carriages at 1300.

Amazing trip to Bude. Rich and Mel looked after us so well and struck a brilliant balance between fun and safety. The swims and schedules were planned perfectly to give us a range of experiences. I came back feeling like a kid again and with a renewed sense of adventure! (And I’ve already booked my next trip with Rich and Mel) Thank you.

I had a fantastic time. On a practical level, I really appreciated the option of a solo room, which had a really comfortable bed and good heating with the bonus of an absolutely gorgeous view. But more importantly the experience itself was magical with a variety of unforgettable and genuinely 'wild' swims, expertly led by a lovely team who made me feel safe at all times. This really helped me to build my confidence while not losing any excitement or joy. I also really appreciated the diversity of activities on offer whereby we could also enjoy walks, time in nature and time alone with absolutely no pressure to do everything. The food was consistently delicious and filling (especially the cakes!) and the tea/coffee-making facilities were excellent. I will definitely be coming back on another retreat.

Loved this retreat! It was the perfect way to reset. I'm very new to cold water swimming but it was great way to get into it and swim in some beautiful spots. I really enjoyed getting to know all the other swimmers and Mel, Becky and Rich were amazing; catering for every dietary need (they even made me vegan pancakes!) and generally being warm, friendly and - most importantly - making sure we felt safe at all times. Would definitely love to come back! Thanks again x
