DAY 1: Welcome to Switzerland! 🇨🇭

Lucerne | Arrival & Welcome Dinner

Your Switzerland adventure starts in beautiful Lucerne, with its turquoise lake, colorful old town and mountains rising in every direction!

Plan to arrive by 4 PM to check into our hotel, unpack and settle in before we kick off our week together.

Tonight, we'll gather for our first group dinner! Meet your fellow adventurers, let the kids start making friends and get excited about everything we have planned for the week ahead.

After dinner, join us for a little more time together, or head to bed early if you're recovering from a long travel day. Tomorrow, the real adventure begins!

DAY 2: Above the Clouds! ☁️🇨🇭

Get ready for our first BIG adventure of the week!

We'll start the morning with a scenic boat ride across Lake Lucerne before boarding the famous cogwheel railway up Mt. Pilatus.

The journey to the summit is an adventure in itself, with spectacular views of turquoise lakes, towering mountains and the Swiss Alps stretching as far as you can see.

After exploring the summit, it's time for some adrenaline! We'll head down the other side of the mountain to tackle the ropes courses and race down Switzerland's longest summer toboggan run. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just here for the incredible views, there's plenty to get excited about!

We'll finish with a cable car ride down the mountain after an unforgettable first full day together.

DAY 3: Climb, Slide & Play in Engelberg! 🧗

Today we're heading to the beautiful mountain village of Engelberg for a day packed with adventure!

Our biggest challenge of the day? A via ferrata! (There's plenty to do if you want to opt out) We'll clip into a fixed climbing route and make our way up the mountainside using steel cables, ladders and footholds, surrounded by incredible Alpine views.

There's nothing quite like reaching the top of a climb together and realizing what you just accomplished!

After our climbing adventure, it's time for some classic Swiss mountain fun! You can take an easy downhill hike along a trail with a marble run built right into it (one of our favorite ways to get kids hiking!), or simply take the cable car down if you'd rather skip the walk.

End the day on another alpine slide!

DAY 4: Turquoise Lakes & Swiss Chalet Dreams! 🩵

Today we're trading mountain adventures for turquoise water and one of the prettiest villages in Switzerland!

We'll hop on the train to Brienz, a charming lakeside village surrounded by towering mountains. The water here is such an incredible shade of turquoise that it almost doesn't look real!

After checking into our cozy Swiss chalet accommodation, we'll have a more relaxed afternoon. You can take a short hike if you really want, go for a refreshing swim in Lake Brienz or simply soak up the views.

After a few action-packed days, we've deliberately left some room to slow down and enjoy being in Switzerland together.

📸 Professional family photos in one of Switzerland's prettiest streets!

One of today's highlights will be visiting Brunngasse, a picture-perfect street lined with traditional wooden Swiss chalets, intricate wood carvings and overflowing flower boxes. It's also where I'll be taking your professional family photos!

As a professional photographer, I know how rare it can be for parents to actually be IN their vacation photos with their kids. So while we're exploring this beautiful village, I'll capture gorgeous photos of you together, with those storybook Swiss chalets as our backdrop.

And the best part? Your professional family photos are included in your trip at no additional cost!

DAY 5: Cycling Through the Valley of 72 Waterfalls! 🚲💦

Get ready to explore one of the most beautiful valleys in ALL of Switzerland!

Today we're heading to Lauterbrunnen, famous for its towering cliffs, lush green meadows and 72 waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides. And what better way to experience it than on two wheels?!

We'll hop on bikes and cycle through the valley, passing traditional Swiss chalets, grazing cows and incredible waterfalls. We'll take our time, stopping for photos and enjoying a picnic lunch surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain views in the world.

The afternoon is yours to explore! Get a closer look at the magnificent Staubbach Falls, take an optional trip up to the beautiful car-free mountain villages of Wengen or Mürren, or simply spend a little more time soaking up the magic of Lauterbrunnen.

• 💦 Explore the famous Valley of 72 Waterfalls

• 🧺 Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the Swiss Alps

DAY 6: Zip Lines, Mountain Carts & Alpine Playgrounds! 🏔️

Get ready for one of the most exciting days of our entire Switzerland adventure!

Today we're heading into the mountains above Grindelwald, where we'll spend the day surrounded by some of the most spectacular views in the Swiss Alps. And we've got some seriously FUN activities planned!

We'll start our morning at Grindelwald First, where the adventures begin with the famous First Cliff Walk, a walkway suspended along the mountainside with incredible views of the surrounding peaks.

Then it's time for some adrenaline! Imagine soaring through the Swiss Alps on the First Flyer zip line, flying like an eagle on the First Glider or racing down the mountainside on mountain carts. We'll have options for different ages and adventure levels, so you can choose the experiences that are right for you and your child.

And we're not done yet!

In the afternoon, we'll head to Männlichen, one of our favorite mountain destinations for families. This is the famous cow playground! The kids can run wild at the enormous alpine playground, complete with a giant wooden cow, while you soak up the incredible views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

If you still have some energy left, you can tackle the short Royal Walk for even more spectacular panoramic views. Or simply grab a snack, relax and enjoy watching your kids play with their new adventure buddies!

We'll keep the day's schedule flexible depending on the weather, activity queues and everyone's energy levels. After all, the whole point of traveling together is to enjoy the adventure, not race through a checklist!

Please note: Grindelwald First activities have individual height and weight requirements and are weather-dependent. We'll have alternative options for children who are too small or would prefer a gentler adventure. The order and number of activities may vary depending on queues and conditions.

DAY 7: Until Next Time, Switzerland! 🇨🇭

How is it already time to say goodbye?!

After six incredible days of mountain adventures, turquoise lakes, new friendships and unforgettable memories, it's time to head home!

We'll enjoy one last breakfast together before making our way back to Lucerne. There will probably be plenty of hugs, exchanged phone numbers and kids begging to know when they'll get to see their new friends again!

But the best part? You'll be heading home with so much more than souvenirs. You'll have shared incredible adventures with your child, tried new things together and made memories you'll be talking about for YEARS. And thanks to your complimentary professional family photos, you'll have beautiful pictures of the two of you to remember it all!

Please book your return flight from Zurich or Geneva for the afternoon or evening of June 29, 2027, allowing enough time to travel to your departure airport.

Hi, I'm Jess! I'm a mom of three, professional photographer and the family travel creator behind Our Micro Adventures.

I really, really love Swiss cows and would live with them in the mountains if I could! I've spent years exploring Switzerland with my own kids, discovering the incredible places and experiences that make it one of my absolute favorite countries for family adventures.

From mountain trains and alpine slides to epic hikes and turquoise lakes, I've done the research (and tested plenty of adventures with my own kids!) so you don't have to.

I'm SO excited to share my favorite Swiss adventures with you and your child! I'll be hosting this trip myself, taking care of the planning, showing you some of my favorite places and helping you create incredible memories together.

Cancellation & refund policy

If you decide to cancel within the first 30 days of registering, you will receive a 100% refund on your deposit. After that, there will be NO refunds for cancellations, even illness. However, if unforeseen circumstances arise and I need to cancel the trip, I will refund you.

Additionally, I will not provide any refunds 90 days prior to the departure of the trip, if you register within that time frame. Lastly, it is HIGHLY recommended to purchase travel insurance before the trip.

This way if you need to cancel for any reason OR have any accidents or medical issues while traveling, you will be covered by your travel insurance company.
