Tonda West is an anointed speaker who proclaims the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity and soundness. For the last 16 years, she has served as the Executive Pastor of the Fountain of Hope Praise and Worship Ministries. On February 3, 2020, Tonda West was consecrated and installed as the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Hope Praise and Worship Ministry. The ministry of Pastor West, is encapsulated through Luke Chapter 14 and verse 23: “and the Lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Throughout her God ordained ministry, Pastor West has touched the lives of many through the gift of prophecy, words of exhortation, and revelation knowledge.
Under the apostolic covering of Presiding Prelate Chester Bell and the New Deliverance Fellowship, Pastor West has grown significantly as a servant leader and minister of the gospel. Through the in-depth teachings of Apostle Chester Bell, Pastor West has developed as a teacher, and Pastor. Currently, she serves as the National Executive Pastor of Protocol for the New Deliverance Fellowship. Additionally, she holds a position on the state of Alabama District Board of Consecration and Licensure for New Deliverance Fellowship. Also, with great pleasure and honor she humbly served as the chairperson of the 2018 Convocation planning committee for New Deliverance Fellowship.
In addition to her spiritual quest, understanding “behaviors” and the “psyche of man” has always fascinated Pastor West. To answer the unanswered questions related to “why we behave the way that we behave,” Pastor West has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and an Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health from Auburn University at Montgomery.
Pastor West has met the licensure requirements for the state of Alabama in the counseling profession and is currently on a path to pursue national credentialing in counseling. Pastor West is the owner of Kairos Counseling Center LLC. She provides counseling services to children and adolescents with emotional, and behavioral challenges that impede their daily functioning. Pastor West utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Play Activities. She has received training in psychological test and assessments, and suicide prevention and awareness. When the need arises, she provides counseling services to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Pastor West wears many hats gracefully and with much humility, she is a community servant which is evidenced by her past positions on the following non-profit and community Board of Directors and affiliations: Junior League of Montgomery, Alabama Region of American Red Cross, Family Sunshine Center, Robert E. Lee High School Hall of Fame Committee,and Leadership Montgomery Class XXVII, Vice-President of the board of directors for NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Health) Montgomery affiliate, Montgomery District Attorney’s Task Force on Elder Abuse, and Brantwood Children’s Home. Pastor West is a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society for Counseling, American Psychological Association, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
While all of the aforementioned accomplishments are important to Pastor West, her greatest joy and source of strength is found within her family. Pastor West enjoys intellectually stimulating conversations with her daughter, Tasharia Harris, and critical thinking, debatable moments with her son, Joshua West. Pastor West readily acknowledges the supportive role of her husband Matthew West and his unwavering, tireless contribution to her current and future endeavors.
