This itinerary starts with some of our most desired cultural day tours, followed by Zanzibar add-on and then Safari.  The safari will take you from the savannah plains of Tarangire to the majestic Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater where you will have the opportunity to witness the Big Five in their natural habitat. 

Please make travel plans roundtrip from US to Kilimanjaro (JRO) , adding a day before the tour begins (Arrival day: July 8) and a day after the adventure ends Kilimanjaro (JRO) to US. (Departure day July 24). 

You will need roundtrip flight from Kilimanjaro (JRO) to Zanzibar (ZNZ) : Arrival July 15 - Departure July 17, 2025. We recommend Air Tanzania 07:55am morning flight for arrival to Zanzibar and  late afternoon-night flight back to JRO on 17th.

Maasai Village & Hot Springs:  7/11/2025

Join us on this exciting day tour.

The Maasai Tribe, one of the most famous African tribes, are a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting selected but large parts of northern, central and southern Kenya and across the border in northern Tanzania as well.  

You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel, by our English speaking guide, who will drive you to the Maasai Village. 

After an introduction to the Maasai village, you will then step into a couple of Maasai houses and huts. You will be guided by your Maasai host to explore the traditional lodgings of the Maasai and how they live.

The Maasai love to share their incredible culture with visitors. So when visiting a Maasai tribe you can expect to see several Maasai traditions first hand. This includes celebratory dances and songs and a closer look at the beautiful jewellery made with typical Maasai beads.

After the village tour your trip will continue to the Chemka hot springs. Upon arrival, you will indulge in a lunch cooked by the local mamas. You will be able to enjoy a wonderful afternoon here sun bathing, chatting with the locals at a small bar or swimming in the springs. It is all up to you! We will leave the hot springs in the late afternoon (just before sunset) and return back to your hotel. 

Serval Wildlife Sanctuary 7/12/2025

This is, by far one of our most coveted tours, for our animal lovers, especially after a safari. On this day we will take you to Serval Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will have a chance to get up and close and personal to some of Tanzania's most majestic animals like, giraffes, water buffalo, gazelle, and even some tree climbing lions. Guided by a park ranger, you will be able to feed and even take some selfies with these beautiful creatures who are protected and free to roam within the sanctuary. 

Marangu Village Tour:  7/13/2025

This day trip will take you to Marangu waterfalls which is located near Marangu Village in Moshi. Marangu is inhabited by the Chagga Tribe and is located 1800 meters above sea level on the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. During this trip you will experience hiking, culture and history of the area, as well as, taste Tanzania's finest coffee.

Your day trip will begin at 8:00am, when you are picked up from your hotel by your guide and we begin the drive to Marangu waterfalls. Before getting to the falls, you will walk through coffee plantation, where you will get to participate in the coffee making process from picking the berry to grinding and roasting of the beans, ending with a sample to taste. You will also walk through a Chagga Village and learn about and experience how they live. After, you will continue your hike to the waterfalls to enjoy the beautiful site and even get a chance to take a dip in the refreshing water. Before leaving the village, we will take you to our Non-profit headquarters for the Dealers of Hope Foundation, for you to see what you are helping us do from behind the scenes. 

This trip includes waterfalls, cultural centers, underground caves, coffee farm and visits to the Chagga House. 

After your excursion, you will be transported back to your hotel.

Meet Faces of Hope:  7/14/2025

On this day, we will take you into Mabogini Village to meet some of the recipients of the Dealers of Hope Foundation. You will get to see up-close, some of the children and families that you are helping and also get to meet with them, eat a lunch cooked by local mamas and see real life in the rural villages of Moshi.

Day 1

Arrival at Zanzibar Island: 07/15/2025

Today you will begin your journey to Zanzibar Island. After arriving at the Zanzibar airport you will be greeted and picked up by your transfer team, who will transport you to your hotel accommodations at the Tembo House Hotel. 

This day is meant for you to enjoy the beach and pool. If you would like, there is a sandbar tour that we can opt to do. That is $70/person and includes a fresh seafood lunch while swimming, snorkeling and having fun on one of Zanzibar's many sandbars in the Indian Ocean. We ask that you pay this on the day of and in cash, if you choose this option. 

Day 2

Prison Island/Baraka Aquarium Tour: 07/16/2025

After breakfast, you will be transported from Stone Town to Prison Island by boat. Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, is a popular tourist destination located just off the coast of Stone Town, Zanzibar. Originally built as a prison for rebellious slaves in the 1860s, the island now serves as a sanctuary for giant Aldabra tortoises.

Visitors to Prison Island can take a short boat ride from Stone Town to explore the historic buildings, relax on the white sandy beaches, and interact with the impressive tortoises that roam freely on the island, in the natural Baraka Aquarium. These gentle giants are a major attraction and offer a unique opportunity for up-close encounters. After your tour, you will be transported back to Tembo House Hotel. 

Day 3

Stone Town Tour & Departure Day: 07/17/2025

After breakfast you will meet your guide to start your town tour, where you will learn the amazing history of the heart of Zanzibar Island, also known as Stone Town. You will have the chance to see the slave market site, daily market, House of Wonder, Old Fort, Palace Museum and Narrow Street. Followed by a chance to do some local shopping, before returning to retrieve your luggage from the hotel. After you will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to the Zanzibar Airport according to your flight itinerary and start your journey to Kilimanjaro for your safari.

Arrival Day

Today you will arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) from Zanzibar and after making your way through customs, you will meet your transport team. You will be transported to your sleeping accommodations at Chanya Lodge in Moshi for a good nights rest before your adventure begins. 

Day 2: July 18, 2025 

Day of Rest & Preparation for Safari

Day 3: July 19, 2025

Safari: Moshi to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will be picked up from your lodge and we will drive to Tarangire National Park, the home of some of Tanzania's most magnificent elephants for a game drive. 

From Moshi to Tarangire it will take us approximately 3-4 hours (210 km). 

You will stay the night at Farm of Dreams Lodge is Karatu. 

Day 3: July 20, 2025

Safari: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti

You will wake up for an early breakfast and then we will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a half day tour and then we will drive to the Serengeti National Park for an overnight at Osinon Camps and Lodges. 

Day 4: July 21, 2025 

Safari: Serengeti Full Day

Today we have a choice to start early in the morning to spot some animals and watch the sun rise over the magical Serengeti National Park, if the weather is permitting. In case of inclement weather, we will start our view in the Serengeti after sun rise. 

You will stay the night at Sero Tented Camps. 

Day 5: July 22, 2025 

Safari: Serengeti Full Day

Today you will have the choice of breaking the day into two sections: - You can spend the morning watching the wildlife in the national park and then head back to camp for a hot lunch or you can choose to spend another full day experiencing a game drive. 

You will spend this last night at the Osinon Camps and Lodges. 

Day 6: July 23, 2025

Safari: Serengeti to Moshi - 

This morning you will wake up and enjoy your last breakfast at the Serengeti and then pack up to head back to Moshi for your last night accommodations at Chanya Lodge. During the trip back, you will have a chance to do some local shopping and also see some more of the parks as you make your way back to Moshi.

Day 7: July 24, 2025

Departure Day - 

Today you will be transferred to the Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure back to the US, according to your flight itinerary.
