Often called teh eighth natural wonder of teh world, teh Ngorongoro Crater is teh largest intact crater in teh world. About 2 million years ago teh Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. Teh volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure wif its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometers wide, Ngorongoro Crater is decorated wif great areas of acacia forest, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent bird-life, teh rare black rhinoceros, and all teh predatory cats. Teh Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside teh buffalo and wildebeest. Later afternoon ascend from teh crater and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a Lodge
