Itinerary

DAY 1: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting out to Arusha national park.

Arusha National Park is one of the smallest charming parks in Tanzania. It is incredible diverse and

beautiful with the changing colors of the Momella Lakes, the lush swamps of the Ngurdoto Crater and the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. It is the only place in northern Tanzania where the black-and-white colobus monkey can be easily seen.

You will have a nature-walking safari for 1-2 hours in the park, accompanied by armed rangers

You will be served a picnic-style lunch with coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the afternoon at a site while facing the view of Momella Lakes. Later in the evening, proceed back to Arusha for your dinner and overnight stay

DAY 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Today, you will set out for Trangire National Park after enjoying a delicious breakfast! This charming quiet park is a hidden jewel, especially when you like to experience an authentic safari innorthern Tanzania. Its unique landscape, dotted with thousands of baobabs is spectacular.

The park is full of wildlife, especially during the dry season, when animals crowd around the only

permanent water source in the area, the Tarangire River. Elephants are the undisputed stars in

Tarangire. During the dry season this park has one of the largest concentrations of elephants in the world!

In the afternoon you will have your hot lunch served with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Later in the evening drive to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - ARUSHA

After breakfast at the lodge, you'll travel to Lake Manyara National Park, known as the "home of the climbing tree lions". Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic gem, once described by Earnest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. It’s one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, with nearly two-thirds of its area covered by the lake. The compact game viewing here is a true microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the world’s largest population of baboons, 400 species of birds and the soda-ash lake with pink-hued flamingos.

In midday you will be served lunch with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Later in the late afternoon, you will start to drive back to Arusha for your international departure and onward journey.

I traveled to Tanzania for a Medical Mission and extended my stay with Elyon Tours. I was with another family of three, and speaking for myself and probably them as well we could not have been happier that it was with this Safari Tour that we lucked out getting to give us the best four tour days. I know when I return to Tanzania someday, I want it to be with Elyon Tours every time. We had Eli as our guide and besides being a great tour guide, he is a prince of a man; He could not have been more knowledgeable about all the birds and animals we were seeing; Nothing stumped him. He also had an incredible knack for knowing how to find the animals. It was evident he had done this several times. I think 400X for the number of tours he does a year and the span of years he had been doing it. It was evident because he could see the animals from his driver's seat, that we standing with the top up would have been missing. We saw so much big fauna... dozens of elephants, scores of giraffes (which I fell in love with) and thousands of white-bearded gnus, zebras, and gazelles. We saw predators as well. Lions, chetahs, leopards, and hyenas; The only one of the Big Five we didn't see clearly was the black rhino... It was out there but too far to fully enjoy. Eli did more than just drive the tour bus... He also got us to the special animals at the special time of day when the sun was best... took us to good vantage points to get the sunsets.... coordinated the hot air balloon ride... got us to the COVID testing sites. The accommodations we stayed at were fantastic...clean, comfortable, and delicious foods and hospitality. Could not have wanted anything more. I give the entire trip experience an 11/10 rating.

Very good and knowledgable guide and driver. There was some confusion about whether the tour was 1 day or 2. It was fixed up-it was 2 days. Price was a bit high.
