This year, we’ve got some massive upgrades and you’re going to love them. We won’t be camping in basic tents anymore. Instead, we’ll be staying in beautiful pre-erected tented lodges with real beds, hot showers, and all the comforts you could want. Meals will be served in a stunning main lodge, and we’ll gather around the campfire every evening under the African sky.
Cross an African Safari off your bucket list with this unforgettable 9-day adventure through Tanzania and Zanzibar. We’ll explore the Serengeti, photograph the Big 5 and spend time with local tribes.
You’ll also have the chance to swim with sea turtles and wild dolphins in the crystal-clear waters of Zanzibar.
I first did this trip in July 2022 (you can check out the highlights), and I’ve been obsessed with Tanzania ever since. After two completely sold-out group trips in 2023, 2024 and 2025 I’m so excited to be bringing it back — this time with upgraded accommodations to make the experience even more luxurious, without losing any of the adventure.
I’ll be there with you every step of the way, co-hosting the trip and helping you capture the kind of photos that truly do this magical place justice. If Tanzania’s been sitting on your bucket list, this is the year to finally make it happen.

Our professional driver will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) and drive you to our first hotel.
Here you can rest after your flight and meet your fellow travelers before our welcome dinner at 7:30pm.
After breakfast, we'll be picked up at our hotel to drive to Tarangire National Park Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe.
There is no telling what we will see on safari.. a lion stalking prey or leopards relaxing in the trees above. We will stay at Heart and Soul Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, depart for the most famous national park in the world, Serengeti. The driving itself, although long, is spectacular.
This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well in the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, "endless plains".
The park has 6,900 sq. miles and for most of it, the plains will stretch into the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelope. As for Big Cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas.
After the game drive in central Serengeti, you will return back to Seronera campsite. This is your chance to spend the night inside the famous Serengeti!
Fair warning: you may hear hyenas cackling and whooping from your tent. There's nothing like it in the world!!
This morning, we will embark on an exciting game drive through the Serengeti. As the sun rises over the vast plains, we'll have the chance to witness Africa’s incredible wildlife in their natural habitat. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, giraffes, and maybe even a cheetah on the hunt. It’s a perfect start to the day in one of the world’s most iconic safari destinations.
We will wake very early for a stunning sunrise game drive, this is when the animals are the most active.
There is also the option of a sunrise hot air balloon for anyone interested. It's sure to be a morning you'll never forget!
After the game drive, we will have a picnic lunch before we proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World.
The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2,000 ft high walls making it virtually a Noah's Ark inhabiting every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa.
It's one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black Rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps and a lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It's also famous for its elephants which, are the largest in the world and have huge tusks.
Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.
Later in the evening, we will drive to Ngorongoro highlands to camp overnight in Simba Campsite.
You may hear animals from your tent and see zebras around the campsite, it's truly an adventure!
We will start the day early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. Sunrise here is truly spectacular!
After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful Hippo Lake.
After lunch, we will do our final game drive then ascend the crater and exit.
We will make our way back to Arusha for our farewell dinner and overnight at Karama Lodge.
Welcome to beautiful, sunny Zanzibar!
We'll catch a short flight over to this paradise. We'll do a walking tour of Stone town to learn more about the history. After that we will have lunch overlooking the beach before taking a boat over to "Prison Island.'
Here we can swim in the crystal clear water.
That night, we'll go for dinner at the Zanzibar night market.
Pack your suit (and maybe a GoPro!) because today we are waking up early to begin our animal safaris: Zanzibar edition!
We'll head out on a dolphin safari to snorkel with wild dolphins then visit a sea turtle rehabilitation center.
Then we will check into Sunset Kendwa, a beach resort right on the ocean. Swim, enjoy water sports or have a drink on the beach.
That night, we'll have our farewell dinner by the ocean.
