The Bourgogne region of France, full of ripening grapes, ancient castles, meandering rivers, charming towns and world renowned cuisine offers a perfect tableau to “Taste and See” the goodness of nature and the abundance of your own life and a culture rich with beauty.
Daily life in France prioritizes savoring each moment, basking in beauty, connecting with the earth and delighting in conversation and companionship. You'll spend the week experiencing the abundant satisfaction and peace that comes with that way of living. You will enjoy local, market-fresh meals prepared by a professional chef from the region and paired with wines from the region, learn to cook authentic French cuisine, pedal through local villages, vineyards and forests, float above the region in a hot air ballon, lounge by the beautiful salt-water pool, and learn about the wine, cuisine and ancient history of the area all while savoring the company of like-minded explorers
US Citizens traveling to France need a current passport. Check the expiration date to make sure that it does not expire within 6 months of your trip. As of 2025, Visas are also required for travel within the EU. Apply for your Visa HERE.
Flying into France
The easiest way to reach Chateau Montrevost is to fly to Paris. From there, you have 2 options:
1. Rent a car and drive directly to the Chateau. Driving in France is as easy as driving in the US. The highways are well marked, and Google Maps will take you right to the front door. If you are traveling with another person, you may even find that this is a less expensive option than multiple round-trip train tickets. In my opinion, this is the best option since it gives you the most flexibility to tour the countryside during our week at the Chateau.
2. Regular trains run from Paris to Tournus. The price of a one-way ticket runs between 40 and 70 Euro, and it takes about 4 hours to transit. If you choose this option, I will help to arrange a taxi for your pick up at the station and transport to the Chateau.
You can purchase train tickets in advance HERE.
Please note that we will not have access to the Chateau until 3pm, so plan your travel and arrival accordingly. Our first gathering will take place at 6pm.
We understand that booking transportation can be daunting! Don't let that stop you from fulfilling a travel dream! Sheila is more than happy to guide you through the travel booking process if you need help. Simply email sheila@seekyoga.com with any questions or concerns.

The owner of our Chateau happens to be one of the leading experts on Burgundy wines and has an astonishing private collection that he graciously opens for us. This is a chance to taste wines that even the finest restaurants are unable to acquire, and just as importantly, it is a unique opportunity to learn the history of the region from someone who has dedicated his life to restoring its gracious structures and preserving its culture.
Start the morning at sunrise by floating high above farms, castles and vineyards in a private balloon. Finish the ride with a champagne toast and a flight certificate, then return to the castle for a cooking class led by our delightful chef.
