Discover the impressive El Tatio Geyser Field, one of San Pedro de Atacama's premier natural attractions and one of the world's most significant geothermal fields. You will depart in the early morning for the Andean Altiplano to witness the fumaroles and steam columns at sunrise, at an altitude of over 4,200 meters above sea level. During the excursion, you will also enjoy breakfast, see thermal pools, and visit the Putana River area, where you can observe some of the region's native flora and fauna.

05:00 AM | We begin the tour by picking you up from your accommodation in the town of San Pedro de Atacama. From there, we head toward the Altiplano, ascending the Andes Mountains.

After a journey of approximately one and a half hours, we arrive at the El Tatio Geothermal Field, located over 4,000 meters above sea level.

We will walk along the designated paths to observe the fumaroles, steam columns, and thermal pools that make up this impressive geothermal landscape. The experience is particularly spectacular during the early morning hours, when the temperature difference makes the steam columns more visible.

We will enjoy breakfast—featuring tea or juice, sandwiches, cookies, yogurt, and fruit—while taking in the Altiplano landscape and the geothermal activity.

On the return journey to San Pedro de Atacama, we will stop at the Putana River area. This wetland offers the chance to observe various species of mountain birds and native wildlife—including flamingos and ducks—depending on local conditions.

Finally, we continue the return trip and drop you off in the center of San Pedro de Atacama.
