Arrive at Kathmandu’s international airport and transfer to your comfortable accommodation. Take time to settle in, unwind, and meet the Global Teacher team. Begin with an orientation to prepare for the week ahead.
Spend five mornings in a local school, working alongside a partner teacher to support classroom learning and share teaching strategies. Engage in activities like observation, co‑teaching, lesson planning, and reflections, while receiving ongoing support from team members and your dedicated Team Leader. Afternoons will be spent exploring Kathmandu’s temples, markets, and cultural landmarks, with transport, entrance fees, and a local guide included.
As a team, we come together to plan and deliver a full day of professional development for local teachers. Drawing on our combined experience and strengths, we run interactive workshops focused on practical strategies, inclusive teaching, and student engagement — tailored to the local context.
It’s a powerful day of connection and learning, where we’re able to support and uplift local educators while growing in confidence and collaboration as a group.
After a short scenic flight you will arrive to Pokhara for two days of cultural and natural exploration. Highlights include boat rides on Phewa Lake, sunrise views from Sarangkot, and visits to Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Bindabasini Temple, and the World Peace Pagoda.
After breakfast, you will take a return domestic flight back to Kathmandu, connecting with your international departure or continuing your onward journey.
OR, if you choose to join our optional Chitwan extension, you’ll travel by private van to Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival, visit a traditional Tharu village to learn about local life, explore the National Park Visitor Centre, and unwind by the Rapti River at sunset. In the evening, enjoy a Tharu cultural dance show or an informative slide presentation about the region.
Start the day with a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River for birdwatching and crocodile spotting. Join a guided jungle walk, followed by the unique experience of elephant bathing. After lunch, head out on an exciting jeep or elephant safari to spot rhinos, deer, and possibly even tigers.
Visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre in the morning. Afterward, depart for your onward flight back to Kathmandu.
