About this trip

*21 and up***

Mountains and Mushrooms! Come join Yogi Magee for the 5th annual August Telluride Retreat  that coincides with the colorful Mushroom Festival. Enjoy daily hikes to hidden lakes and waterfalls, hot breakfast cooked just for you, yoga and meditation on the mountaintop,  and a brew tasting. Enjoy a free day where you have the option to join myself and the San Juan Mountain guides for Via Ferrata trek or take the opportunity to enjoy the town and mushroom festival activities. We'll be staying in the historic Telluride district right on the river trail where you can relax in the hot tub or heated pool while enjoying a glass of wine. Shopping, dining, the free gondola and nightlife are only a short walk away and from the moment you arrive you'll feel like a local. Come solo or bring a friend, this retreat is designed to get you out of your comfort zone, challenge you mind body and spirit and introduce you to the most Coloradical town you've ever experienced!

I've been leading yoga retreats in Telluride since 2013 and they just keep getting better. There's plenty of downtime built in for rest and rejuvenation in-between our adventures. All levels welcome although a basic fitness background is encouraged since this is a high altitude retreat.

My June 2018 retreat to Telluride sold out within 24 hours and I expect this to do the same. Don't delay or your spot may be gone!

Please note, in order to keep my costs low there are no refunds for cancelled travel. A $95 fee applies if you'd like to transfer your registration to a friend but I am under no obligation to find a replacement for you. This helps me keep my costs low and ensure I have the minimum number of participants needed to run this retreat. If I cancel the retreat for any reason a full refund will be given. An adventure retreat it was! So great to get up into the mountains and experience the Telluride through hiking and yoga. Of course there was also some SUP and biking. The great thing about this adventure is it allows for choice. Natalie was fantastic, responding to the needs of the group and even offering up an extra meditation session before the Via Ferrata portion of the day. I took full advantage of this session as this was my stretch during this adventure and a bit more mindfulness was very welcomed. Also a very lovely group of women to share the time with. If you are looking for adventure mixed in with yoga, this is your retreat!
This trip was awesome. You can go as a beginner or as a real adventurer and you will love it the same. There's a lot to do but you can opt out of some things and just have downtime yourself or you can go on all the adventures. I was really impressed by how organized it was and the quality of wonderful people who came - plus the setting where we stayed in - Telluride -- was absolutely gorgeous. What we did on this trip: hiked waterfalls, did yoga on mountaintops, SUP on a lake, biked to a brewery and so much more. Natalie is an amazing leader and instructor and you'll walk away from this trip feeling energized and renewed... This trip was 5 stars all around. The only advice I'd give is if you can afford to, get a queen bed - so comfy and it's nice to have some privacy.

Great women's trip. Full of adventure and fun. A great way to meet new people, share experiences and learn from each other. Easy schedule with flexibility to match your needs. Location is stunning. Highly recommend to anyone desiring to try something outside their comfort zone and willing to be supported by a great group of women.

I have been on yoga retreats all over the world -- as close as Big Sur, California where I'm from and as far as Ubud, Bali. This retreat, though, was something special. I loved the relaxed vibe and adventurous spirit. This can be a retreat where you just lay by the pool and soak in the mountainous beauty of Telluride, or it can be an extreme adventure. Going into it, I would recommend thinking of it more as an adventure retreat than a traditional yoga retreat. But that's what makes it so great and unique. You get to rent/borrow/buy a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and venture to an alpine lake, push your limits on the Via Ferrata, and explore locals-only waterfalls with Natalie as your guide. But if those aren't your jam, go get a massage at one of Telluride's many spas or enjoy a quite spot on a river or lake or find a coffee shop and soak in a good book . . . the options are endless! You get to make the retreat whatever you need, and there's no judgment based on the choices that you make. I appreciate that Natalie is not a micro-manager and really allows you to take the reigns based on your wants and needs. I will definitely be back for another retreat with Natalie in the future! Enjoy your adventure, friends!
