About this trip

During the trip, you will see with your own eyes the variety of climatic zones, notice the difference between the north of the island and the south and understand why Tenerife is called "the mainland in miniature". We will go to the most beautiful cities to the west, and return from the east, and thus close the circle of the island. And I will also take you on a dizzying route along the gorge!

What awaits you

Road to the gorge

Our first stop will be in Santiago del Teido. This is a typical Canarian town with an indispensable snow-white church on the main square and houses of the same colour on the cramped streets. I will tell you about this placeб which is, by the way, the witness of the last volcanic eruption in Tenerife, and we will go to the deepest gorge of the island - Masca, to drive on a rented car through it along the 6 km "fear" road. Shrouded in legends and rumours, this corner of the island is home to the village of the same name, where you will also have time to stroll around.

North of the island: three cities with their own flavour

Through the gorge we will move to the northern coast, where three cities stand in a row and await our visit. Let's go in order:

Garachico is another witness to volcanic activity in Tenerife. The old city is buried under a huge layer of lava. You will see the few that survived the catastrophe, as well as walk along the streets of the town restored at the beginning of the 18th century.

Icod de los Vinos - already in the name you can clearly hear the "wine" prefix. So, wine lovers, as well as professionals, are in for a pleasant surprise (which you will learn about at the meeting). Curiously, this is where the oldest islander lives - who knows, maybe you can shake his hand.

La Orotava is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Tenerife. You will explore its old centre with cobbled streets and 17th-18th century houses. And you will learn the history of the bright and colourful island holiday that takes place here.

After getting acquainted with all three cities, we will go along the south coast back home.
