This trip surpassed all expectations. We thought the Lantern festival would be the highlight (and it was) but so many other parts of the trip were just amazing. The cost of eating and drinking was very affordable too. It was probably a bit more rustic than my usual travels but it was worth it and well planned out. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Not every minute went perfectly as often happens with travel but if a hiccup arose, Sandy and Joy were on it! Would highly recommend!

I just returned from the Vietnam/Cambodia trip and it was awesome. The itinerary was well planned and organized, the group we had was fun, and the hotel accommodations were outstanding. We saw so much in such a relatively short amount of time. If you're thinking about going on this trip, it is truly amazing.

If you travel not just for recreation but to understand and connect with the world, this is the trip for you. We saw natural wonders, ate (and cooked) fantastic food, rode bicycles and motorbikes, explored ancient temples, got more than a couple of massages, and stayed in beautiful hotels. We also had an eye opening education about history and the human costs of war, through the eyes of resilient and gracious people. I’d be lying if I said the experience didn’t change me. If it isn’t obvious already, I highly recommend this trip. Be prepared for stair climbing and pretty intense heat and humidity, and for the trip of a lifetime.

This was an exceptionally awesome trip! Globe Drifters paced out this trip really well, with lots of engaging activities and plenty of time to relax and do your own thing. The hotels were all clean, swanky, air conditioned and had beautiful pools (which, you’ll want to take a dip in after the sightseeing activities in the mornings). They also selected some great activities — my personal favs were the motorbike food tour in Hanoi, a biking adventure in Hội An, and the temples and street food tour in Siem Reap. Our guide in Siem Reap, Dy, was also phenomenal. She was organized, a great storyteller, full of interesting information about the region, and funny to boot! Keep in mind, these countries are VERY hot, so I’d suggest bringing a full size bottle of sunscreen, a portable fan, and an umbrella for shade. Tank tops and shorts seem ideal, but because there’s so many amazing temple tours where shoulders and knees need to be covered, I’d suggest some light short sleeved tops and linen pants to stay cool. All in all, this was an unforgettable trip — so if you’re on the fence, just book it. You will not regret it!

So glad to have found Globe Drifters and their "Slowcation" concept adventurers. The opportunity to stay in a nice Villa with new friends was amazing. We had daily options on activities and meals which was a refreshing change from the structured and fast paced alternatives of other travel groups. Our vacation coordinators were knowledgable, helpful and fun to vacation with. Looking forward to my next adventure with Globe Drifters!
