      Itinerary

      Day 1
      Bangkok

Welcome to Thailand! Bangkok is an intoxicating and sometimes jarring mix of modern and ancient. It is home to an ancient mix of a breathtaking skyline, traditional architecture and gleaming temples bustling with tourists and locals. Everywhere you go, you are engulfed with the aromas of street food that truly capture the essence of Bangkok’s rich culture.

Since most of you will be arriving after long plane rides and experiencing some level of jetlag, you will have the day to get used to the new time zone and your new surroundings.

To make your stay more relaxing, the hotel offers a saltwater pool to lounge in if you'd like to unwind after the long journey.

Enlightening & memorable trip! I took away so much knowledge on the culture of Vietnam & Cambodia. The people, food, history, economy and historical sites. Temples in Cambodia were fabulous and worth every minute we spent there, regardless of the Spring heat. Our guides were fabulous and very knowledgeable. Loan in Vietnam was so accommodating and helpful on additional things to do on free time. And Dee taught me so much about the Cambodian family, food in restaurants where young Cambodians are learning to develop their talents and skills, ancient Buddhist temples, and traditional Cambodian dance. I've taken away so many memories. I am so grateful for this trip; it's been on my bucket list since COVID. Accommodations were beyond my expectations! I would highly recommend.

This trip far exceeded my expectations. I expected to be spending the daytime hours. Just waiting for the lights at night. This trip was worth it just for the daytime excursions. The lights were amazing. The company was great and our leader was amazing. Thank you globe drifters. I will be looking for my third trip with you

Noteworthy countries to visit, however, the 4 flights (3 domestic & 1 international) are a bit too much for the duration of this trip e.g., given the distance between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh -- travel by minibus would have been a better option (also, providing a chance to visit a few villages along the way). The local guides knowledge-base were not consistent throughout this trip and definitely could be improved.

A magical trip of a lifetime with a great tour guide, Marvil, and group of people. The activities were so much fun; the Aurora cabin was special & food was really good—even the reindeer! And the best part….we saw the Northern Lights 2 nights! 🥰
