Songkran is one of the most unique festivals you'll ever experience! This water festival is a celebration of Thai New Year. During the 3-day event, you'll immerse yourself in the colorful traditions of Thailand. Allowing the splashes of water to wash away your worries as you celebrate new beginnings with new friends.
Your 10-day Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour will begin with 5 days in Bangkok, visiting temples, seeing the sights, and taking a Thai cooking class. You'll also have free time to get some massages and explore the night markets before the Songkran celebration begins.
After 5-days in Bangkok, you'll trade in the big city for 5-days in the sand and sun of Phuket. You'll get to experience the last day of Songkran on the beach. Your flight to Phuket is included in the tour price! You'll explore Phuket Old Town, go island-hopping, and have a free day to rest and relax on the beach. Phuket is where the Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour ends.

Pack water guns and water balloons because this will be the greatest water fight you'll ever experience. For 3 days, you'll party in the streets of Thailand, enjoying live performances and unique traditions with new friends.

During the 3-day Songkran Festival, you should expect to participate in water fights. Shopping malls create events and water features for the festival. Local businesses will pour water on customers, and most people are walking around spraying each other with water guns.
This tour was curated for plus-size travelers and welcomes travelers of all sizes and gender identities. It is perfect for travelers who want to learn about art, food, culture, and history from the local community.

Everyone has different mobility levels and we want to be as transparent about accessibility as possible. We also want to remind you that all of the activities are voluntary.
There will be standing for more than 30 minutes during your cooking class.
There will approximately 2-3 hours of walking daily while visiting temples, enjoying Songkran, events, and sight-seeing. The walking tours will have scheduled breaks. You will also have a free day in each city to rest and recuperate.
Cancellation Policy
All deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel within 200 days of the Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour, 50% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.
If you cancel within 150 days of the Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour, 75% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.
If you cancel less than 130 days before the Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour, 100% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.
If we cancel the tour you will receive a full refund.
In the event of illness, injury, or other extenuating circumstances affecting the trip, the departure will be rescheduled. If you can not attend during the new dates, your deposit will be transferred.
Liability Clause
By signing up for this trip, you acknowledge that Fat Girls Traveling LLC and Annette Richmond will not be held responsible for any issues that may arise from injury or Covid.

Itinerary
Sa-wat dee, welcome to Thailand! Your adventure begins in the country’s bustling capital, Bangkok, famous for its tuk tuks, khlong boats and street vendors serving up delicious Thai food.
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your airport representative and transferred to your hotel. Your Host and Local Guide will meet you there at 3 pm for a group meeting. In the evening you'll explore to Chinatown and enjoy a Welcome Dinner.
