FAQ's
Where are we staying?
We will be staying at the luxury, 5-star hotel, Giza Palace, during the start and end of the trip as well as luxury, 5-star river cruise boats during our time on the Nile.
Are all accommodations included?
Yes, all accommodations/meals are included unless you choose to arrive and/or depart outside of the dates listed. A valid credit card will be required at time of check-in for incidentals.
Which airport do I fly in and out of?
Cairo International Airport (CAI).
When does the expedition start?
The expedition begins the evening of Friday, May 09th at 6:00 PM with a Welcome Orientation and dinner.
When does the expedition end?
The expedition ends on Tuesday, May 20th. There are no activities/site visits scheduled on this day and is considered the day of departure.
Can I extend my trip?
If you would like to arrive before May 09th or depart after May 20th, hotel accommodations can either be arranged on your own (running the risk of changing rooms) or through our tour partners which guarantees rooms will not have to be changed. Booking links for pre-/post-trip extension will be provided at a later date.
Can I bring my kids?
This is an adults only trip, minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
Do I need a visa to visit Egypt?
All visitors are required to obtain a tourist visa to enter Egypt. Citizens from the US, Canada, Australia, UK and EU may obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Cairo Airport for a fee of $25 USD and is done prior to Passport Control. Please check with your local Egyptian Consulate for entry requirements and regulations applying to your citizenship.
Will the tours be given in multiple languages?
All tours throughout the expedition will be given in English by English-speaking guides.

Reservations & Payments: A non-refundable deposit of $3000.00 per person is required at the time of booking and is included in the total package price. To ensure your reservation, the final payment will be due no later than 60 days prior to the tour's start (March 10, 2025). Bookings made on or after March 10, 2025 will require full and final payment immediately upon booking.
Cancellations & Refunds: Due to high preparation costs, cancellations received on or before March 09, 2025 will be subject to a full refund of the total amount paid (minus deposit) dependent upon spot being filled by another traveler. There will be no refunds issued for cancellations received on or after March 10, 2025. Deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

This package is for two occupants in a private room that accommodates two guests. Select this option if you and your partner would like a room with one king bed.
Price is per person; you must book with your travel partner in order to secure this booking option. Participant information is required for both occupants at the time of booking.
Kindly note that the assigned room may have two single beds due to the limited availability of rooms with a king bed. We will do our best to accommodate this request.

This package is for a single spot in a shared room that accommodates two guests. Select this option if you would like to be assigned a roommate or if you and your travel partner do not want to share a bed.
You will have an opportunity to indicate your roommate at the time of booking. If you do not have a travel partner or roommate indicated, you will automatically be paired with a roommate.

Itinerary
- The Welcome Orientation marks the start of the trip on May 09th at 6:00 PM and will be held at our hotel followed by dinner.
- It is highly recommended getting in at least one day prior to the start of the trip to acclimate and rest.
- Be mindful of flight arrival times – per hotel policy, check-in begins at 03:00 PM. Early check-in can be requested, but is based on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
