This is a land full of Romance and history, and the sights, sounds and feelings of the landscape provoke an inescapable nostalgia and beauty. It is an area you can never have enough of, offering new discoveries and experiences with each visit.
The Masai Mara offers the authentic wilderness experience that is reminiscent in the old Africa. The Mara is breath-taking. A true gem in a world filled with beauty. But it is somehow tame, different from the world vast tracks of earth stretching before Kenya in the north. This time round though, we have made a conscious choice to visit a camp that is iconic.
The emotions are present but the words fleeting. The Mara is by far the loveliest countryside in Kenya. It carries with it a history that defines safari and a recollection that defines romance. The expansive landscapes are awesome; deep green and stretching, filled with acacia trees and unending herds of game.

Day 2-3
Early drive to Mt. Kenya driving through the busy city of Nairobi to the rich highlands of Kenya in the central province where you will see hectares of pineapple farms. Proceed to Mt. Kenya arriving in good time for lunch. In the afternoon we will do nature walk on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. At night you will be able to see animals as they come to the watering hole.

Drive to Samburu National Reserve
Day 3-4
Early morning drive to Samburu National Reserve leaving at 0730hours, driving north we will stop at the Equator and you can take photos as you cross over to the north pole. We proceed on past Nanyuki and dropping at an altitude of 2,500m to around 1000m, you will see the difference of the vegetation from the lush green to Semi arid area. We arrive at the lodge for lunch and later an afternoon game drive. Note the animals you get to see in this reserve are unique and are easily seen here known as the North frontier district in East & Central Africa.

Day 4-5
Early morning game drive at 0630hours, morning drives are quite exiting as this is when it is possible to get the big cats still in their active mood. We go back for breakfast at 0830-0930hours. Mid-morning we will take a walk to get the feel of nature and see the birdlife and the euphoria that is surrounding. Later an afternoon game drive then back to the lodge at 1830hours for evening relaxation. Other activity you can do is to visit the Samburu village to learn their cultures and way of life (optional and at an extra cost).

Day 5-6
Depart after breakfast heading to the slopes of Mt. Kenya and here you will see Aberdare ranges. In Aberdares you have the option of going to either Solio Ranch OR Aberdare National Park. The ‘Solio Ranch’ is one of the finest wildlife parks in Africa, which hasn´t figured on the tourist map for generations. The park plays a major part in the protection and breeding of black rhinos in Kenya. Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yes, quirky. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modeled after Noah's Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you!

Day 6-7
We depart after breakfast to Lake Nakuru National Park; we climb to a higher altitude past Solio ranch to Nyahururu which happens to be the highest town in Kenya at 2100m. We will stop at the Thomson Falls which was discovered by the scotish geologist Thomson in 1861 when he was on an expedition to discover the Great Rift Valley. We proceed with our trip arriving in time for lunch; later we go for an afternoon game drive.

Day 7-8
Depart in the morning at 0730 hours to Masai Mara National Reserve, we drive past another soda lake namely Lake Elementaita which is also another home to the flamingos. We will stop briefly at L. Naivasha which is a fresh water lake and the highest lake in the Rift Valley at an altitude of 1910m. We proceed to mara arriving for late lunch. You shall later go for an afternoon game drive, and thereafter back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8-9
Early morning game drive at 0700hours, later we break for breakfast and we leave with packed lunch for a full day game drive. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is often referred to as "The Mara" which is the “Maa” word meaning "Mottled" a reference to the patchy landscape. Famous for the abundance of the big cats, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dressing.

Day 9-10
The Masai Mara Reserve has come to be famous because of the annual natural phenomenon which has been put on documentary and watched all over the world. This is the “Eighth Wonder of the world” where we have a spectacle of 1.5million of wildebeest and zebras migrating in search of greener pastures. There is no other wonder like it elsewhere in the world; it’s one of a kind. A part from that the “BIG FIVE” can all be seen here. One of the Nat Geo documentary “BIG CAT DIARY” is shot in the reserve. Therefore spending less than two nights in this wonder would be injustice to your safari plans. Day spent exploring the expansive Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.
