About this trip

Discover authentic Nepal while we will take you off the beaten track with experienced guides to feel the energy of every place along the way. This journey, you will be guided by Alexandra Van Schaik and Laura Slavov.

Besides its astonishing nature, Nepal is abundant of culture and inspiring history. It has been a dream of both of us to visit this mountainous country since a long time and it seems like the greatest idea to visit with a group of like-minded souls. We are confident that Nepal will fill our senses and inspire us for many years to come!

The idea behind this adventure is to cultivate a deeper connection to our five basic senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. Exploring what is around us through hiking, some yoga and meditation in different places. Visiting temples, enjoying sunrises and sunsets, overnight accommodation in the local tea houses and savouring the local cuisine.

Let’s connect with the adventurous part that resides within each one of us that makes us vibrate with energy, curiosity and brings us back to our true joyful self.

This wonderful trek in the lower Everest region, Solu, is designed to let you experience not only traditional Sherpa culture but also get up and close with Tibetan Buddhism. The area also offers magnificent views of Mount Everest and lots of other stunning mountains. The view from Pikey Peak is the best panoramic view in all of Nepal!

Passionate about words and teaching yoga a, I am teaching yoga retreats and trainings worldwide. In my life, -without even realising this until my late thirties- yoga and meditation have been a natural way of daily practices. At a young age, drawing, writing and walking were a form of meditation, allowing myself to observe the world around me, and using these observations in my story-writing. After attending my classes, you will leave with a smile on your face, I will find a way to let you feel good about yourself, and inspire you to become the most beautiful version you can be, while staying down to earth with humor and contagious laughter. My classes are not only inspirational but sweaty, dynamic, creative, fun and unpredictable. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. I believe that yoga starts the moment you have finished your practice, when you rolled up your mat and go back to your life. “What we learn on the mat, we take with us…”

This was my second training with Alex, she is a great hostess and teacher. The training was very informative and because the group size was small we were able to get loads of one to one time and ask any questions. She provides lots of links to youtube videos, articles, playlists etc to further your knowledge after the course and is always happy to answer any questions you may have post training. The venue was beautiful, and the food was incredible! My only constructive criticism is I would have preferred having breakfast and dinner at the venue, as opposed to breakfast and lunch. Thank you so much for a wonderful and educational training!
I had a great learning experience with Alex in a small group of students. I learned a lot. The accommodation was comfortable, the vegan food absolutely delicious and the training deep. I learned important things that I will definetly need and use in my life. Thank you.
