The Brazilian Percussion Experience 

Percussion Camp - June 05 to 12, 2027

Dive deep into the rhythms of Brazil in an unforgettable 7-day immersive percussion camp in Rio de Janeiro. This experience is designed for musicians, students, and music lovers who want to live Brazilian rhythm from the inside — learning directly from master percussionists while fully immersed in the cultural heartbeat of the city.

Throughout the week, participants explore the foundations and variations of samba, choro, and maracatu, with daily hands-on classes, ensemble rehearsals, and rhythm labs. Sessions focus on technique, groove, musicality, listening skills, and the cultural context behind each rhythm.

The camp goes beyond the classroom. Participants can attend rehearsals, rodas de samba and choro, bloco practices, and live concerts, experiencing how percussion lives and breathes in Rio’s streets and stages. Guided cultural outings include visits to iconic neighborhoods, music venues, and historical sites connected to Brazil’s musical heritage.

Each day balances practice, cultural exchange, and inspiration, creating a powerful environment for learning and connection.

Costs per person:

Single Musicians = US$ 1,969.00 

Single non-musician = US$ 1,155.00

Double musician = US$ 1,630.00

Double non-musician = US$ 825

Remarks: 

• Please feel free to book your flight to Rio de Janeiro 

• This proposal may change if the exchange rate drops below R$5 per US$1

• In Brazil, people over 65 years old don't pay for public transportation (bus and subways)

• The tour itinerary can change due to unforeseen circumstances like severe weather, technical malfunctions, or political unrest, as well as operational reasons such as port closures or changes in local regulations. 

• The final schedule, including all class details, will be sent a month before the trip starts.

WITHDRAWALS AND CANCELLATIONS BY THE CONTRACTOR

All cancellations requested by the contractor of any tour package offered by the contractor have a cancellation policy with progressive fines of the total amount paid, according to the start date.

By purchasing one or more of our packages, you agree that you are fully aware of the costs arising from any cancellation requests for whatever reason.

Progressive fine discounts will always be for the total value of the package contracted and follow the following criteria:

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Cancellations up to 90 days before the start of the tour: 20% fine.

• Cancellations between 89 days and 60 days before the start of the tour: 30% penalty.

• Cancellations between 59 days and 40 days before the start: 50% penalty.

• Cancellations between 39 days and 30 days before the start: 80% penalty.

• Cancellations between 29 days and the start date: 100% penalty.

▶️ Cancellation requests must be made by email to morningsidemusictours@gmail.com and will only be effective once confirmed by the contractor.

• Failure to show up on the day and time of arrival is considered a cancellation and, in such cases, no refund will be given.

• In the event of cancellation of the services by the contractor, the total to be refunded will be deducted from the amounts paid for travel insurance, taxes, tickets and fines charged by suppliers (carrier, accommodation, airline, restaurant and other services), since the contractor is an intermediary in the contracting of these tourist services, depending on third parties for their effective execution. 

• If there is a right to a refund, this will be made within 90 (ninety) days of the cancellation request being made.

• Due to exchange rate fluctuations and bank transfer fees, the refund will be processed using the exchange rate in effect on the date of cancellation, with applicable bank charges deducted.
