Leah, from Happy Body Yoga, will be leading this trip! Her goal is to build authentic connections, support the Yoga for chronic illness community and inspire all students, one Happy Body Yogi at a time! She first started practicing yoga in 2012, as a way to work through the pain of her endometriosis and find a way that fitness and exercise could fit into her life. In May 2020 Leah became a certified Yoga Teacher after completing 200-hours of a Yoga Teaching Program. She has recently completed her 500-hour certification. She feels strongly about interweaving many of her passions into her teaching, such as Yoga philosophy, music, body positivity, inclusivity, and accessibility.

Doreen, of The Travel Renaissance, has been a travel consultant for more than 20 years. Her passion for travel keeps her looking for the next great travel adventure and provides fuel for her interest in photography. Destination weddings and family reunions are among her group travel specialties, but she is able to assist groups of all types and interests.

Arrive in the Canary Islands on the beautiful island of Tenerife. Transfer to your hotel, the 5* Iberostar Sábila, ocean front. Get settled into your room, take a walk on the beach or a dip in the pool, and then meet the group for a special welcome dinner. Optional yoga class will be offered.

Day 2: Masca & Garachico
Day 2: Masca & Garachico
Day Tour to Masca Valley & Garachico port
Tour up to the northwest side of the island into the Teno mountain range. Visit the small mountain village of Masca, originally settled in the early 1400's. Enjoy some hiking and yoga instruction in the valley at an altitude of 2,100 feet. Then head down to the coast to the former capital port of Garachico and learn why it is considered the prettiest and unluckiest town on the island.

Day tour by ferry to La Gomera Island
Take an early morning ferry over to the island of La Gomera. Keep a look out for migrating whales and pods of dolphins as you sail in the Atlantic Ocean. Tour the island of La Gomera by jeep through Garajonay National Park and learn about the local Silbo Gomero whistling language used to communicate across the deep ravines and valleys on the island. Upon our return to Tenerife, a yoga class will be offered.

Stargazing up Mt Teide, the tallest mountain in Spain
Wake up to a revitalizing yoga class to start your day. Enjoy free time in the late morning and afternoon. In the evening, head up into Teide National Park for a tapas dinner and amazing stargazing. Mount Teide, a towering volcano and the highest peak in Spain, has some of the best stargazing in the world due to minimal light pollution. You'll be amazed at what you can see with your naked eye!

Explore UNESCO city La Laguna & UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Anaga Park
Head to the northeast part of the island to the city of La Laguna, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999 due to its unique layout and beautiful old-world city center. In the afternoon we head to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Anaga Forest, with its vast array of flora and fauna hidden in dramatic ravines and valleys. We will fit in a bit of yoga in the Anaga Reserve and breath in the fresh ocean air.

The accommodations and tours were very nice. The travel was less great. the partners in Faial were more organized and helpful than the tour partners in São Miguel - lots of things that were forgotten, or they didn't answer texts/emails about changes to the schedule due to weather. It was great to have breakfast included. All tour guides were lovely and recommendations for restaurants were also good (it would be great to put hours of operation on there, we went twice to a restaurant and both times it was closed). thank you for coordinating a nice trip.

We had a fantastic time in Lisbon and Porto, Portugal. Portugal really is a hidden treasure! What made it even more enjoyable and comfortable was Ryan from Quest Travel Adventures who did a fantastic job setting everything up for us. The hotels were lovely, with great ammenities and breakfasts and friendly, helpful staffs. They were also perfectly, centrally locatd. We walked miles and miles and climbed so many hills, without having to venture more than walking distances from the hotels. The foodie walking tour in Lisbon and Sintra day trip were both perfect. The tour guides were knowledgable, didn't rush us, and made sure everyone had a great time. The day trip to the Duoro valley with the boat ride, lunch and wine tasting was a highlight of the trip. Such a beautiful area, and we learned so much. Our last tour was took us out of our neighborghood in Porto and over to the other side of the river for more sights and views and a port tasting. Again, we really enjoyed the tour and the small groups. Thanks again to Ryan for setting up the perfect trip. I have already recommended him to several friends. Thanks!

Ryan handled our trip to Azores and Madeira with such professionalism and attention to detail. Transfers to and from airports and hotels were on point, flight connections perfect and the tours included were terrific. Even restaurant recommendations were great choices. We had an amazing trip to Portugal - everything about it was just perfect. The accomodations, people, food, wine were all amazing - we couldn't ask for more. We had the perfect mix of planned tours and downtime - we were very happy with the attention to detail of our trip - there was absolutely nothing that we would have changed about it! Highly recommend!

Fantastic trip to the Azores! A wonderful hotel, great food, and each excursion was different and fun. Doreen and Leah made it a truly memorable trip and I look forward to traveling with them again!
