Embrace nature, inspire your yoga practice, and discover the magic that lies in Turkey Run State Park. Join us on this inspiring fall yoga retreat designed just for you! Turkey Run State Park is the perfect place to soak up the energy of the ecosystem as we transition into fall.
We have upgraded to a meeting room with at least one window that we will have open to allow for more air movement as we keep safety as a priority. We will do as many of our activities outside as possible.
Fall is a beautiful time of year that encourages us to turn inward, take inventory, and decide what is worth keeping and what we need to let go. It’s a time of reflection, release and transition. After such a crazy 2020, isn't it time to create your own sense of balance and harmony through yoga, hiking, adventure, exploring, meditating or just basking in nature. Nourish your body and soul as you take this opportunity to make this fall a time to decompress and regain your sense of inner harmony.
This retreat is hosted by Marla Helton of Serendipity Yoga with guest teachers, Jacquelyn Stephens and Jessi Burchett!
Turkey Run has a wonderful old lodge where you can discover the huge fireplace in the great room, sip coffee on the big balcony looking over the park, swim, hike, explore and take advantage of whatever you want that this beautiful park has to offer!
You will make your own reservation through the toll free number 877-563-4371. We have a block of rooms reserved starting at $112 for a double(plus tax). You will need to use the code 0131SY to receive this rate (regular $139). There are also private rooms available. Rooms are limited so make your reservation as soon as possible. There is also a campground and other places in the area if you prefer not to stay at the lodge. The price of the room is not included in the retreat price.
Of course you want to know about meals! We will share in a pitch-in on Friday evening at one of the shelter houses. There is a nice restaurant at the inn that usually offers a buffet or items off the menu. If you are uncomfortable eating in a public place due to COVID 19 concerns, we will try to have an opportunity to have a pitch in for all meals except breakfast. Each sleeping room is also supplied with a mini frig, microwave and coffee maker if you choose to bring your own food or snacks. You are always welcome to leave the park and find a place that suites your palate!
You will need to provide your own transportation to Turkey Run but if you need a ride I'm sure we will have some folks who could give you a ride. You will also be responsible for bringing your own props for yoga. A mat, strap and two blocks and if possible, a blanket should be sufficient. If you need to borrow props, just let me know! Please don't go out and buy anything unless you think you'll use it later. There is an admission fee to get into the park.
Don't miss this opportunity to sign up early and save! Your non refundable deposit is only $40!
Sign up before July 31 to make sure you get your room! Your nonrefundable deposit is $50.
We'd love for you to join us. Many plans have been made but we'd be happy to tweak things so you can join in this special retreat!
You can check in at the lodge at 4:00. Those arriving early can take a hike and explore the area. At 7:00 we will meet a shelter house to check in and share in a pitch in dinner!
