The Glamp Camp

Nestled in Canyon San Dionisio within the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range, is Camp San Dionisio by Panterra. This camp is located in Rancho Ecológico El Refugio, on the ancestral lands of one of the oldest ranches in the region. 

Your unforgettable 2-night ranch experience includes glamping-style accommodations. and a hot and cold organic breakfast. Take the time to relax and soak in the stunning natural beauty and incredible biodiversity of the mountain environment. The pricing is based on double occupancy for two nights of glamping, which includes two breakfasts and a range of adventures filled with culture, food, and outdoor activities. 


The cost breakdown per day based on 2 nights/3 days BNB starts at less than $50 per day per person! 


The 5m and 6m tents can accommodate up to 4/5 guests for an additional fee. Please refer to the Add-Ons section for further details.


Lunches, dinners, and activities are available at an extra cost. To ensure availability for meals and activities, please make your reservations in advance.

1. Guided nature hikes - 2 hours depending on the hike

- include flora, fauna, medicinal plants, birdwatching and 40-minute hike, one way, to some local cave paintings depending on the activity offered that day.


2. Cooking classes - approx. 1 hour

- are carried out by the ranch matriarch, Dona Marie Luz. They are more informal classes and a Mexican cooking experience.


3. Introduction to Leather Making - approx. 2 hours

- guests have the opportunity to make a bracelet or bookmark as a keepsake of the experience

 

When you book an activity in advance, you can be confident that it will take place as scheduled. Timing, give or take a half hour of the scheduled time. The ranch lives by an energy all of it's own. Scheduled activities will occur during your stay as pre-booked.

- includes walk through the process of preparing, tanning through to the ready material

- guests have a choice to make a belt, wallet or bag

2. Hike to Cave Paintings - approx. 4 hours

- impressive presentation of cave paintings

- the hike is definitely not for the faint of heart

- experience hiking is highly recommended


3. Basketry - approx. 3.5 hours

- basket weaving from a local plant grown at the ranch

Itinerary

Bed and Breakfast
Day 1 - Arriving at the Ranch

Self Drive - Check-in time is 11:00 am and on.

Once you have arrived, you will be instructed where to park your car and shown to your glamp tent accommodations.

Dinner should be ordered in advance or you can bring your own. You are not allowed to have a campfire but there is a grill that guests can use. Most guests opt to join other guests for the ranch dinner. It's all part of the traditional lifestyle.
