The Convivialité Kitchen is a relaxed, hands-on cooking experience in our home in Saumur, in the heart of the Loire Valley.

Convivialité is a French word that describes the warmth and pleasure of coming together; sharing good food, conversation and time around the table. That’s exactly what these experiences are designed around.

Choose from a leisurely lunch, dinner around our table, apéro and small bites, or our Market to Table experience.

Together, we’ll cook simple, delicious French-inspired dishes using seasonal ingredients, sharing ideas and techniques that make cooking for others feel easy and enjoyable.

Our classes are not about complicated recipes, perfecting the dish or spending all your time in the kitchen. It’s about cooking good food with confidence, so there’s more time to sit down, share it and enjoy being around the table with your guests.

Mandy is a home cook, enthusiastic host and the person behind The Convivialité Kitchen at La Maison Trumeau. Originally from Ireland and now living in Saumur, her approach to cooking has been shaped by her grandmother, a love of learning to cook with seasonal ingredients and many years of gathering friends and family around the table.

The Convivialité Kitchen grew from a simple belief: good food doesn't need to be complicated, and the person doing the cooking should get to enjoy the gathering too.
