A Four-Module Training Series
This series weaves together anatomy, embryology, craniosacral therapy, and Chinese medicine. Through four 2-day immersions, we explore how channels and vessels correspond with membranes, bones, diaphragms, and vascular fields. Each module stands alone and may be taken individually, while the full series offers a complete journey through the body’s midline and extraordinary vessels.
Discover the parallels between the Governing Vessel and the dural membranes. From embryology to the Nei Jing Tu, learn how the midline serves as an axis of structure, energy, and spirit.
Day 1: We will explore the Nei Jing Tu, the daoist map of the inner landscape, through the context of the gates ascending the spine and the relationship to the dura.
Day 2: We will explore the divergent channel of the Du or Governor Vessel and how it relates to the continuity of the dura at each spinal segment. We will look at nerve to organ innervation according to the meridian and acupuncture mapping, and work with the cervical, brachial, lumbar, and sacral plexus.
We will learn via lecture, demonstration on models, demonstration on persons, and student exchange practice sessions.
Explore the tentorium, thoracic diaphragm, and pelvic diaphragm, and their links with SCM and psoas. Connect these structures with the Dai Mai (Girdling Vessel) to understand posture, circulation, and horizontal-vertical balance.
Examine the sphenoid bone as the keystone of the cranium. Relate its anatomical fulcrum to the Wei and Qiao vessels and San Jiao channel, illuminating its roles in time, rhythm, vision, and spiritual orientation.
Trace the heart from embryonic tube to spiral myocardial band. Correlate cardiac anatomy and vascular pathways with the Chong and Ren vessels, experiencing the heart as a vortex of Jing, Qi, and Shen.
Relate craniosacral anatomy to Chinese medicine channels & vessels
Gain palpatory and clinical skills for integrating structure and energy
Explore the psychosomatic & spiritual dimensions of midline and heart
Develop inner cultivation practices to support presence and healing
Format: Four 2-day modules (take individually or as a series)
Audience: Acupuncturists, craniosacral practitioners, bodyworkers, and all those interested in bridging Chinese medicine with somatic practice
