Wonderful location. Absolutely loved the gentle mindful yoga classes-they were just my speed. I also appreciated the amount of free time and thoughtful optional extra activities they had arranged for us!

I wish I were here to write a glowing review about how restorative this retreat was. I booked to it celebrate finishing breast cancer treatment, but two weeks before going, my uncle died and his memorial was the same weekend. I understand I had signed a contract but was surprised by the teachers unwillingness to help creatively solve this situation (the teachers did send one email asking if anyone could take my spot, which I appreciated). I offered many ideas: suggested the teachers hold part of my money for another retreat with them; keep some to pay themselves and transfer the rest to the resort so I could attend another retreat, etc - they did not try and make any of this work. What makes it even harder is that I saved up for this as a reward for a grueling year. I am a single mom, living alone in SF with my young daughter which means I am stretched financially and this was a huge splurge and investment in myself. In yoga environments, teachings often center around extending grace to yourself, and others around you. I imagine this retreat was no different in its world view. The death in my family that precluded my attendance could have been an opportunity for the teachers to practice that compassion off the mat. But they chose not to. And worse, ignored my last message entirely. They were not partners in helping me get any money back so I could try to attend another retreat. Not one single penny, even for food that I did not eat. A huge financial and emotional disappointment.

This trip was exactly what I needed to reset and return to work and family totally refreshed and feeling great. Kimberly pays attention to every single tiny detail. The hotel is super clean and the food was excellent. There was just enough activities vs. free time for a perfect balance. There was plenty of time to see the town and enjoy local culture. Thank you for a beautiful retreat!
