Yoga

The ancient practice of mind-body-soul connection, Yoga, has countless known benefits. Yoga  stimulates our organs and increases blood flow to our cells, helping to detoxify the entire physical body. Yoga improves flexibility, spine health, and posture, providing pain relief and an overall feeling of wellbeing. Continued practice helps prevents joint and cartilage breakdown, drains the lymphatic system, and boosts immunity. And the benefits go beyond the physical. The practice of breathing with awareness and tuning into our Selves helps calm the mind and brings us into our inner power and presence. Never tried Yoga? No problem at all. Our Yoga classes are for all levels, ages and abilities and our qualified teachers meet you exactly where you are on any given day. 

Massage and Relaxation

Massage has positive effects in the short and long-term on our mental-physical-emotional-spiritual health. On this retreat you will receive a totally unique treatment.  Our style is a combination of Thai, Chinese, Swedish, deep tissue, chi-release and Reflexology techniques. Understanding  the whole body as one interconnected organism, we approach every person and every treatment with fresh eyes, intuitively finding and removing tension from the body using massage stretches, joint manipulation and adjustments. This is an effective treatment to adjust your circulatory, eliminatory and respiratory systems so that your body functions at its best. The body will heal itself if we give it the tools!

Relaxation and recreation are key on this retreat. Alongside our daily Yoga and meditation programme, we will offer various afternoon activities to help you unwind, such as painting a masterpiece, learning to bake bread, trekking the rolling hills, exploring local historic villages, enjoying the sun, or reading the book that has been sitting next to your bed for the past 6 months.

Sleeping

Talking of sleeping arrangements, please be prepared to share your space with a like-minded soul. All rooms and bathrooms are shared. 

Nourishment

Food is an important focus at this retreat.

Karma Kitchen Vegetarian and Vegan Food - a word from the Chefs, Oliver W and Lucy B:

Your chefs are food lovers and gastronomic cooks. We have created cuisine in all sorts of foodie environments, from big budget film catering, festivals and pop-up dining, to Michelin star kitchens. All our food is locally sourced from farmers' markets, organic growers, and local producers. Preserves and chutneys are made by an international award-winning marmalade expert, and honey is sourced from a small holding in the wilds of the Correze.

Your meals are delicately put together to give the most satisfying homemade, nourishing, meat-free, dairy-free, sharing experience. Detoxifying, Chakra-balancing drinks are prepared from organic fruits and vegetables. Herbal teas and other homemade health tonics such as warming spiced turmeric and ginger, will keep you revitalised and gently aid in your detox process.

Nearest airports are: Brive-la-Galliard, 35 minutes by car; Limoges, 1 hour 45 minutes; Toulouse, 2 hours 30 minutes. 

Nearest train station: Brive-la-Galliard, direct from Paris Austerlitz, 4 hours 30 minutes.

Arrival and Departure Times

Arrival time is from 2pm on Monday afternoon and checkout is after breakfast 11am on Saturday.

What to bring

The weather usually continues to be barmy throughout October with the evening temperatures dipping. Please bring a jacket and an extra jumper.  A rain coat and some good walking shoes are beneficial for nature walks in the area.
