TESTIMONIALS

This trip was flat out awesome! Jay was phenomenal as the host for this trip and the tour guide, Nana was very hands on and personable. The group was fantastic - 30 people! I plan on keeping in touch with them. This is going to be something that I will remember for the rest of my life.

I had a wonderful time. Ghana is an amazing place to visit. The history there is breath taking. This trip was an eye-opener for me. Do not believe what you here about Ghana, go see for you self.

This trip was better than I could have ever expected, being 20 years old and to see something like this I was truly amazed. I encourage everyone to take this trip at least once to get the experience for yourself. My entire mindset has changed thanks to this tour. Looking forward to being on many more in the near future

Eric C.

One word: INSPIRED! Thank you Maximum Impact Travel & Team!

What an amazing and eye opening experience! Ghana has a lot to offer culturally and historically. You will definitely see that it's nothing like we're conditioned to "think" of Africa. Our tour group was awesome and I plan to return with my family in the near future. I highly recommend Maximum Impact. Thank you Jay for this amazing experience!

Temika M.

This experience hands down has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had outside of birthing my children. The knowledge and understanding of what our ancestors went though made any history books they have in school not worth ever looking at. I encourage any and everyone to put this on their bucket list. It’s truly an eye opener.

Maximum Impact Tours has been created to encourage international and domestic travel experiences. Maximum Impact Tours was founded by entrepreneur, playwright, author and philanthropist, Jay Cameron. Realizing that most of his life had been consumed working domestically, a trip to Ghana changed his perspective. His experience transformed the way he saw traveling. As a result, he set out to encourage others to see the world through their own eyes and not only through the eyes of television and social media. You are invited to join Jay and his team on their adventures around the globe.

Reviews

This trip celebrated milestone birthdays for my Mom (90) and Grandson (21). It was everything I'd hoped for. I concur with the reviews of my fellow travelers regarding the itinerary, therefore, I will devote my entire review to the 1st class customer service by Jay and his crew in Ghana. My physical health changed over the summer and I now use a rollator walker and wheelchair. My luggage made it on to the shuttle, however, my mobility aids were left on my driveway! On Sunday, when I realized we'd need more than the canes, Jay and Morris had already sourced wheelchairs for pick up on Monday morning. Throughout the whole trip, Jay's crew, both staff and contractors, assisted my Mom and me; this enabled my Grandson to experience and enjoy the full breadth of the itinerary. Jay also made adjustments to the itinerary based on requests; as a result we attended opening night of Wakanda Forever; we revisited the arts center; and got a boutique to open their doors on a Sunday morning just for us. We ended up having an extra day in Ghana, courtesy of Delta Airlines. I asked Morris for the name of a bookstore, to my surprise, he offered to accompany me. He spent all day Monday with us from noon until we passed through the security checkpoint. This was my first land tour. I am used to traveling independently; or jazz cruising. I will definately travel with Urban Intellectuals and Maximum Impact again. Thank you! The Nelsons Ms. Betty, Alycee, and Lance

With saturated senses, we left the Land of the Blacks with a soul deep knowing that we are ancient, before the before. Our brilliance, etched in stone, still sparkles among the stars painted across the celestial temples. Energized by the golden rays of Ra, dormant DNA awakened, rolled over, and rejoiced in gratitude.

I had a fantastic experience in Egypt. I was traveling by myself but never felt alone. I did know anyone when I started. That quickly changed for the better. Everyone was wonderful. The accommodations though out the trip was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of and a variety food. All the logistics were on point. And most importantly I had a chance to see for myself a lot of the great things that Egypt has to offer. I am glad I went, and I would highly recommend this wonderful adventure. Reserve your spot NOW!!

This Egyptian experience was life-changing. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my family, creating memories with them and gaining brothers and sisters across the country. I especially enjoyed experiencing this with my two children (5yrs & 22yrs). My daughter still speaks about her visit to the Nubian Village and beams with a sense of pride when she remembers that ppl referred to her as a Nubian Princess. She even lost her tooth during our visit with them The theme for me was persistence. I recall attempting to go to the top of the pyramid and wanting to give up. When I stopped on the platform, I remembered our tour guide, Tarek’s, explanation on how the pyramid was built. They had to persevere despite obstacles or the length of time. In addition, as much as I wanted to stop to “show” my children that sometimes the road gets tough (even for mom) but taking a pause to regroup and pushing on anyway to complete the challenge with them was priceless. The smiles on their face to see that I did in fact make it to the top with them is something I will always cherish. The sites of royalty and breathtaking natural beauty was another highlight for me. It was beautiful to see people that looked like me and in their natural beauty. I did not feel my color or felt invisible. When they greeted us to say “Welcome home!” those two words said just enough to say you belong here. I came home with a renewed sense of purpose, determination, and perseverance to complete any task. I especially loved the idea that there was no thinking involved in terms of what we were doing/eating, all our accommodations, and excursions were all taken care of. We simply had to show up. Amazing experience and I can’t wait for Ghana 2024. Thank you Jay and Freddie for this genius, life-changing opportunity from Maximum Impact Travel and Urban Intellectuals! The culture NEEDS this!

This trip was a trip of a lifetime!! We started as strangers and ended as family. We looked out for each other. It was so amazing. The trip omg!! Words really cannot describe it. It is so much packed in, but in a good day that you can digest it. We went to the Pyramids, cruise on the Nile, went to Luxor, visited temples, Nubian Village, and so much more. To hear the history of Egypt and to see the ancient Pharaoh's features with Black features!! This trip was educational, and sooo much fun!! I definitely recommend to everyone to go. Urban Intellectuals travel has a great thing here and I can't wait to travel with them again!

I had the absolute privilege of joining the Gateway Experience Ghana, July 2022. There's only one word to describe it - TRANSFORMATIVE. Jay has done the work and created a truly phenomenal travel experience. Because of his efforts, I connected with the ancestors, with Ghanaians, with Africans and with myself. I fell in love with Ghana and am now planning to move there. Jay and his local team - the incomparable Morris and the loyal Ernest - took care of every detail and provided a trip that was informative, enjoyable and safe. I don't think I could have that experience with any other tour operator. From now on, I will only travel with Jay and Maximum Impact when I visit any place in Africa. In fact, my group and I are planning to travel together again to Tanzania next year. It's just that deep. If you love Black people and Blackness, then love yourself by booking a trip with Maximum Impact!
