      About this trip

UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE, The Giant's Causeway!

      **Departure Time: 09:45am

**Pick-Up Location: Europa Hotel, on Great Victoria Street

This is Northern Ireland's most popular day tour to (UNESCO) Giant's Causeway from Belfast.

The route which awaits you also includes eerie Dark Hedges (Game of Thrones®), a road trip along a portion of the world famous Causeway Coastal Route and romantic Dunluce Castle ruins.

Taking part couldn't be easier. We meet at the bus stop in front of the famous Europa Hotel, on Great Victoria Street, BT2 7AP - right in the very heart of Belfast

      ITINERARY:

      DEPART BELFAST

Begin the journey in the company of your expert local guide and your fellow travel partners as you relax and look forward to a day of exploration, nature and joy.

Your charming guide will set the scene as he or she navigates through the atmospheric Victorian streets of Belfast through the rolling farmland of county Antrim to the North Coast of Ireland - an area of outstanding natural beauty.

      CAUSEWAY COAST ROAD TRIP

An absolute highlight for many guests today is the Causeway Coastal Route road trip which promises fine views of Rathlin Island, and on a clear day the Scottish coast across the sea.

The views along this world famous coastline are spectacular, no wonder it is one of the most visited destinations in Europe!

      DARK HEDGES

We visit the most popular natural phenomena in Northern Ireland, the Dark Hedges. The trees were planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress their guests upon arrival to their house.

Most of you will recognize the Dark Hedges as King's Road from the hit TV series Game of Thrones®. It is a wonderful photo-stop and an opportunity to be a part of a real life set!

GIANTS CAUSEWAY (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE)

The Giant's Causeway is the highlight of this trip for most! Built by the Irish giant Fionn and his Scottish rival Angus, it is a real masterpiece formed of perfectly shaped hexagonal columns.

Your tour guide shall tell you all about the Causeway, and the legends. The path to the causeway stones starts behind the center, it is only 10 mins walk! For a small fare there is a mobility bus that can bring you all the way down the path to the Causeway, for those with walking difficulties.

      DUNLUCE CASTLE (HOUSE OF GREYJOY)

Next stop is the House of Greyjoy from HBOs Game of Thrones®. In real life, Dunluce Castle was built by the McQuillan family around 1500.

One of Northern Ireland's premier castles, it is located atop sheer cliffs overlooking the Atlantic ocean – the perfect setting for one of the Great Houses of Westeros. The Castle’s dramatic history of violence, intrigue and rebellion is matched by the scandal and betrayal committed by the Greyjoys in Game of Thrones.

      ARRIVE BACK IN BELFAST

Arrive back in downtown Belfast around 04:00PM after enjoying one of Northern Ireland's epic experiences. You will be dropped off right in the center of the city to allow maximum access to transport routes and evening entertainment options.

Why not pop into the Crown Liquor Saloon to raise a pint of Guinness to the memories you made today with loved ones and new friends? The Crown also offers an amazing food menu for those hungry after a day out in the fresh air (bar snacks, oysters, starters, mains, burgers, sandwiches, desserts and an amazing Northern Irish Whiskey Sauce!) (Optional)

      Cheers!

Excellent trip. Accommodations were outstanding. The hotel was great about opening the kitchen early for days we had early tee times scheduled. Our driver, James, was a key contributor to the overall enjoyment of the trip. He knew the best pubs and the history of the places we visited. His knowledge and sense of humor made him an integral part of our adventure. Having all the arrangements coordinated and scheduled was a huge convenience. Wouldn't do a trip like this any other way going forward.
