The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well includes eight days and seven nights at the luxurious Dawn Beach Club on the island of St. Maarten on October 2-9, 2021.   The 5-day retreat will take place from Saturday, October 2 to Wednesday, October 6. Dawn Beach Club (Host Resort for the Retreat) is located on Dawn Beach along St. Maarten's eastern coast. Upscale accommodations are furnished with Marriott's signature Heavenly Beds, neutral and pastel decor, and private patios or balconies. The resort sits on the edge of a private beach located close to the border of the French and Dutch sides of the island.  You'll have easy access to sugary sands, as well as an expansive outdoor infinity pool. And if you're seeking an even more relaxed setting, you can indulge in a soothing treatment by scheduling in-room massages from local spa professionals. The resort features an on-site restaurant and a poolside cafe that serves lighter fare. 

Oyster Bay Beach Resort overlooks the Caribbean and provides stunning sunrise views. Travel + Leisure Magazine calls Oyster Bay Beach Resort one of the top five resorts in the Caribbean for value. An infinity pool built on an old coral reef and full-service spa await your indulgence. The white sands of Dawn Beach are a two-minute walk from the hotel, while the popular and lively Orient Bay Beach is a 20-minute drive. Additional restaurants and shops are a five-minute walk from the hotel in the enclave of Oyster Pond. In the small Dutch cruise town of Philipsburg, a 15-minute drive away from the hotel, are popular restaurants, shops, and a lively boardwalk. The small market town of Marigot, the French capital, can also be reached in a 35-minute drive.

Q: How many days is the Retreat?

A: The Retreat will take place over five days and four nights, from Saturday, October 2 - Wednesday, October 6, 2021.  However, you may stay at the Resort until Saturday, October 9, at no additional cost.

Q: Is the Trip Tax-Deductible? 

A: Yes. The cost of the Retreat is tax-deductible.

Q: Are excursions included?

A: Dawn Beach Club | Oyster Bay Resort-arranged excursions are not included in the Retreat price. 

Q: What if I'm coming alone and I don't have a roommate?

A:  We will assign you a roommate if you are booking a bedroom in a multi-bedroom suite.

Q: Are flight costs included?

A: Flight costs are not included in the cost of the Retreat. Here are some guidelines for flights:

Saturday, October 2: You may arrive as early as you'd like but may not be able to check-in until 4 p.m.

Wednesday, October 6: The program will conclude by 9:30PM so we recommend flights on Thursday, 10/7 from Princess Juliana International Airport.  

**Saturday, October 9: You may extend your stay at no cost for lodging until Saturday, October 9.

Q: What do I need to travel to St. Maarten. 

A valid U.S. passport.

COVID-19: Currently, St. Maarten is requiring the results of a COVID-19 test pre-travel.  These requirements are subject to change, so please refer to this travel and information health site for the government of St. Maarten: https://stmaartenehas.com/.

Q: How early should I book the package?

A: Family & Friends Early Bird Discount is limited to the first 30 people.  It is recommended that you book as early as possible, as space is limited at this event. In addition, booking earlier will enable you to take advantage of a longer payment schedule if you opt for a payment plan.

Q: Is there transportation to and from the resort?

A:  Yes, there will be transportation from Princess Juliana International Airport after arrival on Saturday, October 2, and to Princess Juliana International Airport on the date of your departure from St. Maarten. 

Q: Do you offer discounts?

A: The prices reflected here are Friends and Family early-bird discounts for the first 30 registered attendees who sign up for the Retreat first.  

Q: Are the costs of the Retreat refundable?

A: You may cancel at any time, but please note our cancellation policy:

Due to the nature of time-based and capacity commitments with the resort, ALL payments will be considered non-refundable, which includes the full and installment payments. Of course, the exception to this policy is if the Retreat is canceled.

We understand that unexpected occurrences happen, and due to the possibility of any extenuating circumstances, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover both your airfare and the cost of the Retreat.

Q: Do you recommend travel insurance?

A: Yes, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.  Unforeseen circumstances (death in the family, illness, etc.) can happen to anyone. Being unprepared will cause you to miss the Retreat, as well as lose your investment.  

It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance from a reputable national insurer. Travel insurance offered by an airline does not apply to an entire trip, but simply covers airfare. There are many travel insurance firms available (Allianz, etc), so secure your trip after purchase by buying travel insurance, as our refund/cancellation policy will be enforced, no matter the circumstance.  You can use the tools found on the following website and choose the best insurance for your needs:  TravelInsurance.com.

Q: What can I expect at this Retreat?

A: The goal of the retreat is to provide five days of health and wellness workshops, expert speakers, practitioners, sisterly comradery, and goal planning that will lead to better emotional, psychological, and physical health.

Q: When will I receive a Retreat schedule?

A: A preliminary Retreat schedule/agenda will be provided by August 2021.

Q: How often will I receive communications about the Retreat?

A: We will communicate regular updates on newly added speakers, new offerings, and any other updates related to the Retreat. After you register, be sure to go to The Girlfriend Getaway private Facebook Group for all of the latest details and to make new friends even before the Retreat begins.

Q: What type of food will be offered at this Retreat?

A: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are part of your package with an emphasis on health.  

Q: Is alcohol included in the cost of the package?

We will have alcohol at our Welcome event and the All White Party. Other than these events, alcoholic beverages are not included in the price of the Retreat.

Q: What should I bring?

A: A suggested list of items to pack include:

·    All-White Outfit for the White Party

·    Yoga pants, sports bras, shorts and t-shirts

·    Bathing suit(s) for pool or beach

·    Bathing suit cover up

·    Resort wear for dinner/dancing

·    Light Jacket or Sweater  for cooler evenings

·    Sneakers

·    Flip-flops, or other comfortable sandals

·    Earplugs, particularly if you are sharing a room

·    Drugs like aspirin, Tylenol, Dramamine, Neosporin, and Tums/Imodium

·    Insect Repellent

·    Sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat

·    Your medication, if applicable

·    Books to read under the palm trees.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

You may cancel at any time, but please note our cancellation policy:

WHY CAN'T I GET A REFUND?

Due to time and space commitments with the resorts, refunds are not available. Please purchase travel insurance to accommodate any unexpected travel changes. 

REFUND REQUEST(S) DIRECTED FROM YOUR BANKING INSTITUTION

All chargeback notifications received via your bank will be considered a cancellation of your registration at the Retreat.  We will send all documentation, including confirmation of receipt of all travel policies.  Agreement signatures will be provided to the banking institution as confirmation of payment application according to all agreed-upon terms. 

DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT

Buyer/Attendee agrees to individually, jointly, and severally indemnify, defend, and hold harmless At the Well Conferences, Inc./The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well and all agents, affiliated and corresponding parties, from and against all liability, loss, damage, or expense, including attorney’s fees which may be incurred or sustained as a result of purchase; during the Retreat,  or hereafter, in perpetuity.  

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Unforeseen circumstances can happen to anyone, and if you aren't prepared, will cause you to miss the Retreat, as well as lose your investment.  It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance.

PAYMENT PLAN

You can send as many payments as you like.  You do not need to rely on the below outline. 

The full balance MUST be paid by 9.1.2021.

DELINQUENT PAYMENT PLAN PAYMENTS

Any payment plan payments more than 10 days late will be subject to a $50 late payment fee. If your payment(s) is more than 30 days late, then your reservation may be canceled and subject to the cancellation policy above.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY RELEASE

With my attendance, I hereby grant permission to At the Well Conferences, Inc./The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well to use photographs and/or video of me taken from October 2 - 9, 2021 at the Retreat in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of At the Well Conferences, Inc. and The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well.
