This safari has been designed with the aim of witnessing the Great Migration crossing the Mara River. At the beginning of the dry season in the Serengeti end of June, the herds of wildebeest start heading to northern Serengeti around Lobo area and Kogatende where the grass is green. From July to mid-October, migration safaris hold the excitement of herds crossing the Mara River. As the animals enter the water, individuals are taken by crocodiles. Their sacrifice secures the survival of this extraordinary journey of species. Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra can easily be seen crossing the Mara River from Tanzania's Serengeti.
Kindly note that this is a natural phenomenon in rare cases the Great Migration be affected by rainfall, availability of water and food in the area, predators, and nutrition contents in the grasses.
