Imagine the joy of a butterfly landing on your hand when you were a kid… now multiply that by millions. On your trip we'll ride all the mountains and forests that surround Mexico City, visiting where the locals go to enjoy the beautiful country they live in. On this trip we'll ride horseback, tour the largest monarch migration on earth, eat great food, stop in at a hot spring, and visit one of the largest pyramid complexes anywhere. Motorcycles get you there! This is gonna be a great trip. I hope you come with us.

Once you get to our rally point at our hotel, we take care of accomodations and travel, we can help you sort out travel, but it's up to you to pay your own way.
During the day we'll stop for lunch, drinks, etc. Many times we may go out to dinner together, or you can venture out on your own. Nothing is mandatory.
Just like if you rent a car, you'll buy your own gas. The price can vary depending on the trip, but figure $10 to $15/day USD.
Sometimes parks or hot springs charge an entry fee.
We can't account for how you may wish to spend money on your trip, but for lunch, dinner, gas, tolls, etc., we usually recommend you bring an addtional $75 USD per day for a very comfortable trip.
Welcome to Mexico City! After you join us at our hotel in the Condessa Neighborhood and will have a chance to relax and enjoy the city before we head out into the mountains surrounding Mexico City on a Motorcycle adventure you'll treasure for a lifetime. The area of Cndessa we're staying in is called Hippodromo, Racecource in English. It's a great neighborhood for parks, dining, and drinks. Feel free to walk around before dinner and take in my favorite place to stay in Mexico City.
Day two will start out with breakfast and a safety talk before we meet your bikes for the week. we have two different bike pick-up locations depending on if you want to ride out of the biggest city in North America, or would like to start your ride just outside of town - there's no shame in our game. Once we hit the road, we'll be heading to and area called Valle de Bravo. This spot is famous for weekenders from CDMX to hang out around it's lakes and gaze at the beautiful night sky. All the evergreen forests surrounding CDMX are referred to as it's lungs. The air is fresh, clean.
After breakfast we'll see if we need to adjust anything on your bikes before we head out to our next magical town Angangueo. This little mountain town with it's dogs and little square if a favorite of mine. It sits in the middle of the largest Monarch Sancutary in the world. if we get in to town early enough, we'll head up to one of the two main sights the same day. It will be chilly at night, and just like the the butterflies, you'll bundle up for a good night sleep before we head up to see them the next day.
We'll take it easy today. Our only plan is to enjoy the mountains, go for a couple horse rides, and hang out with all the Mariposas (butterflies in English). This spot in the mountains of Michoachan is home to the anual migration from all over Canada and the US, it's just amazing. Today you can ride your bike, or hang out in the chase van as we visit two different locations. Trust me when I say, you're going to be in awe.
Today we get back on the rode, and it will be just a beautiful as everything you've seen so far. We'll ride through pine forests and turn corners over looking valleys on our way to a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Guayangareo Valley Called Morelia. It's a gorgeous city with aquaducts, and much of the town build with pink stone. This will be an change from the evergreen mountains we've been riding through. Did I mention the food???
Today we'll hit the road and head out of the mountains into the valley with a string of hot springs and rivers north of Mexico City. We'll stay near the Huemac Hot springs and knock the dust off and enjoy the thermal water. Nothing is better than a soak after traveling for a few days. Mexico has over a 120 thermal springs, we've only scratched the surface, but you can expect us to hit one on just about every trip we take down here.
Our last day of riding will end up at a family owned hotel next to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan. Once we throw our bags down, we'll ride around to the entrance and spend some time along the Avenue of the Dead and take in the Pyramids of the Sun, Moon, and Serpent. We are literally staying across the road from the pyramids! In the morning while have coffee my favorite thing to do is watch the hot air balloons rising just over head as they take flight. This spot is so magical. After dinner we have planned for you, we can sit around and start dreaming of your next trip with Mexico by Moto. This is also where we will turn the bikes. If you need a ride into the city or airport the next day we'll help arrange this.
