đ˛The Real Yellowstone Discovery Expedition: A Summer Retreat for Women (June 14-19, 2026)
Experience Yellowstone in its bright, early-summer seasonâwhen rivers run full, wildlife is on the move, and the parkâs famous geyser basins steam against crisp mountain air. This 6-day, women-only retreat invites you to discover âthe real Yellowstoneâ through story, scenery, and sisterhood.
Weâll travel from Bozeman through Paradise Valley to our cozy base near Gardiner, exploring thermal terraces, geyser basins, sweeping canyons, and wildlife-rich valleys. A full-day adventure to Cody layers in Western history and art, with time at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and a classic Main Street dinner.
Each day blends guided experiences with space to breathe: picnic lunches, short walks, quiet overlooks, a rejuvenating soak at Yellowstone Hot Springs, and evenings gathered over hearty meals and dessert boards. Youâll be invited to slow down, listen to the landscape, and share the journey with a small circle of women who are here for more than just a checklist of sights.
âď¸ Seasonal Flexibility â Late Spring/Early Summer in Yellowstone
June in Yellowstone is gorgeousâand unpredictable. Snow can linger at high elevations, wildlife activity changes quickly, and road construction or temporary closures sometimes shift whatâs possible. We may adjust the order of days or swap specific stops to keep things safe, comfortable, and aligned with the spirit of the trip.
No matter the weather, our priority is the same: meaningful, memory-filled days with a balance of views, stories, and rest.
Unless otherwise noted, all meals, national park entrance fees, guided experiences, and local transportation are included. Alcohol and market-price add-ons are not included.
LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE. This retreat is designed for women seeking connection, awe, and the ease of being guided through Yellowstoneâtogether.

Arrive in Bozeman and begin your journey toward Paradise Valley, where the mountains rise on either side and the Yellowstone River keeps us company on the drive. Weâll pause in historic Livingston for a relaxed welcome meal at The Murray Bar & Grill, easing into the pace of the week and getting to know each other.
From there, we continue south to our cozy Montana owned hotel in Gardiner, your home base for this Yellowstone exploration. Once everyoneâs arrived and settled, weâll head into the park for a first taste of its landscape, then return âhomeâ for dinner, dessert board, and a gentle orientation circle to ground us in the days ahead.
After a simple breakfast at the lodge, we set out across Yellowstoneâs northern rangeâwide valleys, winding rivers, and plenty of chances to watch for wildlife in the soft morning light. As we travel east, weâll stop to step out, breathe, and take in big-sky views before climbing onto the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, one of the most stunning drives in the Rockies.
Weâll pause at Sunlight Creek Bridge and Dead Indian Pass Overlook for sweeping vistas and stories from this rugged landscape, then continue into Cody, Wyoming, for a relaxed afternoon in town. Youâll have time at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, with your choice of museums, followed by a hearty Western dinner at the Proud Cut Saloon before we loop back toward Yellowstone via Sylvan Pass and Yellowstone Lake, traveling home in the long June twilight.
This morning is all about easing into the West. After a slow start at the lodge, weâll begin with a morning wagon ride through Pleasant Valley, taking in mountain views, fresh air, and a slower glimpse into Yellowstoneâs ranching and stagecoach history.
After the ride, weâll continue through Yellowstoneâs northern interior, starting with the dramatic canyon views at Calcite Springs Overlook before continuing to nearby Tower Fall. From there, weâll climb over Dunraven Pass, where the road opens into sweeping mountain views and alpine beauty.
Weâll pause for a picnic-style lunch along the way, then continue toward Norris Geyser Basin, one of Yellowstoneâs most dynamic geothermal areas. There, weâll stretch our legs on the boardwalks and take in steaming vents, colorful pools, and the wild, shifting energy of the parkâs interior.
As the day winds down, weâll return to Gardiner for dinner, then settle into an evening soak at Yellowstone Hot Springs â warm mineral water, mountain air, and space to let the day land. Refreshed, weâll drive back to the lodge with time for journaling, conversation, or simple rest.
Weâll start early and head straight to Grand Prismatic Spring in the Midway Geyser Basin, arriving while the morning light and steam highlight its vivid colors. From there, we make our way to Old Faithful, timing our visit so you can watch an eruption from the boardwalk or lodge area and enjoy lunch nearby in this historic corner of the park.
In the afternoon, weâll explore Fountain Paint Pots in Lower Geyser Basin, then follow the Firehole River corridor with short stops at places like Mattie Culverâs Gravesite, the Nez Perce Trail marker, the Queenâs Laundry site, and Gibbon Falls, weaving together geology and human history. Weâll finish with a walk through Artist Paint Pots, then return to Gardiner for dinner and an optional evening visit to Mammoth Hot Springs, wrapping up with a bit of gift shop browsing and ice cream before heading back for the night.
Today we lean into one of Yellowstoneâs most iconic landscapes: the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Weâll visit viewpoints like the Brink of the Upper Falls, a Lower Falls overlook, and Artist Point, giving you time to feel the force of the river and the beauty of the canyon rather than just snapping a quick photo.
From there, we drift through Hayden Valley, watching for bison, elk, and other wildlife, then continue to West Thumb Geyser Basin where hot springs meet the shores of Yellowstone Lake. As we loop back, weâll pause near Fishing Bridge, explore the Mud Volcano area, and then stop at Obsidian Cliff and Sheepeater Cliffs, where the story of volcanic rock meets the history of the Mountain Shoshone (Tukadika) people. We end the day with dinner at a locally owned spot in Gardiner, followed by tea, cocoa, and gentle reflection time at the lodge.
Our final morning is intentionally slow: packing up, taking group photos, and saying goodbye to the lodge thatâs held our week. Weâll drive back to Bozeman and share a farewell brunch at Western CafĂŠ, a no-frills local favorite where you can savor one more Montana meal with your small circle of fellow travelers.
After brunch, Christine will coordinate airport drop-offs to BZN and departures toward Butte, Helena, or Missoula, depending on your plans. If your schedule allows, you may choose to spend extra time in Bozemanâperhaps at the Museum of the Rockies or wandering downtownâcarrying the pace and perspective of Yellowstone with you as you head back into everyday life.
