The Renewal Retreat is an invitation to spend a week moving with intention, exploring with curiosity, and reconnecting amid the natural beauty of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Hosted at Villas B’alam Ya, an intimate collection of lakeside villas, the retreat offers a beautiful setting to practice, relax, explore, and connect.
The retreat will offer twice-daily movement and mindfulness sessions along with workshops created to support strength, mobility, reflection, and a deeper understanding of how yoga can serve us in everyday life. Each session will be accessible and adaptable, balancing opportunities to feel energized with time to slow down and restore. No prior yoga experience is necessary—options will be offered to meet you where you are.
Beyond the yoga and workshops, there will be plenty of space to experience what makes Lake Atitlán special. Explore nearby villages and markets, experience local culture and traditions, spend time in nature, enjoy nourishing meals, or simply relax at the property.
At its heart, The Renewal Retreat is about creating space for experiences that help us feel more connected—to our bodies, our surroundings, one another, and ourselves. The intention is not to escape everyday life, but to return home with renewed energy, meaningful experiences, and practical ways to carry what we discover forward.
B’alam Ya is an intimate lakeside retreat property made up of private villas along the eastern shore of Lake Atitlán. Tucked into lush tropical gardens, the property offers sweeping views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes, with plenty of space to gather, explore, and relax—from its private beach and docks to gardens, kayaks, paddleboards, and quiet lakeside spaces.
