We welcome you to join us in Houston, TX for The Return of Sankofa! We are honored to celebrate our 16th year of Line Dance Wellness with you.

Sankofa (pronounced SAHN-koh-fah) is a word from the Twi language of Ghana that means “to retrieve” or “go back and get it.” It embodies the idea of looking to the past to inform the future, emphasizing the importance of learning from history. The term is often associated with a proverb that states, “It is not taboo to go back for what you forgot”. Sankofa is also represented by a symbol, often depicted as a bird with its head turned backward, symbolizing the act of reaching back to gather knowledge and wisdom.

Sankofa is a line dance event you have to EXPERIENCE and it has Never Disappointed.

Houston has two major airports. The host hotel is closer to Hobby (HOU) than (IAH).

Renting a car or using Lyft or Uber will be necessary.

A link to reserve your room will be provided to registrants.

The hotel block is available from 9/3 to 9/7 for line dance family who arrive early or stay late.
