After breakfast, we set off for County Clare, stopping enroute at the Foynes Flying
Boat Museum. This interactive museum tells the remarkable story of transatlantic
aviation in the 1930s and 40s, featuring a full-scale replica of a Boeing 314 Flying
Boat. Foynes is also the birthplace of Irish coffee, first created here in the 1940s to
warm up weary travelers. Enjoy a perfectly crafted Irish coffee, then savor lunch at
O’Regan’s Bar before continuing to the stunning Armada Hotel, perched along the
Wild Atlantic Way.
