3:00 PM – After lunch, we’ll head to the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center for an enriching hour of cultural discovery. 7:30 PM – After dinner, we’ll return to the Aurora Borealis Lodge to unwind and settle in for the evening.
Evening Activity: Northern Lights Viewing
9:00 PM – 2:00 AM – Tonight is dedicated to what may be the most awe-inspiring part of your Alaskan experience: watching the aurora borealis. Each room at the Aurora Borealis Lodge features large, north-facing windows offering excellent visibility. Radios are available so you can alert fellow guests when the lights appear, and the lodge owner, Mok, will also give a heads-up when activity is spotted.
Tips for Optimal Aurora Viewing:
Keep window blinds closed when indoor lights are on to avoid glare.
Dress warmly if you choose to step outside—temperatures can drop significantly.
