Rise and shine! Today we climb the steps of the African Renaissance Monument, the tallest statue in Africa, standing proudly at 160 feet. Built by Senegalese artists, it’s a celebration of Black strength, unity, and future. From the top, Dakar stretches out in every direction a breathtaking reminder of where we are, and why we came.

Then it’s time to trade stairs for speed. We'll journey to Lac Rose (the Pink Lake) for an adrenaline pumping quad biking adventure over sand dunes. With the lake shimmering pink beside us and camels casually strolling past, this is the ultimate off the beaten path thrill.

Wind down with a float in the lake’s salty waters and learn about the women-led salt harvesting community here one of West Africa’s most unique ecosystems. Bring your camera. This place doesn’t look real.

Today, we journey into the sensory world of African coffee. At one of Dakar’s few Black female owned cafés, we’ll sip and learn about the powerful legacy of beans like Café Touba, a spiced brew rooted in Sufi culture and resistance.

After a delicious breakfast, we explore Senegal’s art scene with a batik making workshop. Using centuries-old techniques, you’ll dye and stamp intricate patterns onto cloth a hands-on tribute to West African textile heritage. Enjoy a traditional Senegalese lunch with your hands, just like locals do.

After a bit of rest, the night is young. Dakar’s nightlife is electric and full of soul. We’ll head to a local spot to dance, laugh, and feel the music pulse through the city.

Surf Lesson | Beach Lunch | Sip & Paint at Boma Lifestyle | Night Out

Start slow, breathe deep. After breakfast, we head to Copacabana Surf Village, a Black owned surf haven. Senegal is one of Africa’s surf capitals, and today you’ll ride your first wave (or wipe out trying!) with local instructors who live and breathe the ocean.

We’ll enjoy lunch by the sea, complete with fresh juice and sunshine vibes. Later, we head to the chic Boma Lifestyle Hotel for a fun Sip & Paint session, where you can unleash your inner artist while snacking and sipping local cocktails.

As night falls, we'll explore the city’s social scene again every outing is a chance to build real bonds with your travel family.

Today we escape the city and journey north to the Lompoul Desert. Picture a golden horizon, red dunes, and the feeling of being completely present.

We'll arrive just in time for sunset, where the colors of the sky dance over the sands. Dinner is a traditional Senegalese feast under the stars, complete with fire dancing and Ataya, Senegal’s beloved tea ritual. Prepare for laughter, connection, and rhythm.

Tonight, you'll sleep in a luxury Bedouin-style tent no WiFi, just stars. This is glamping, West African style.

After sunrise and a hearty breakfast in the dunes, we make our way back to Dakar.

Take the afternoon to relax, enjoy hotel amenities, or reflect with a journal and juice in hand. Later, we visit the vibrant Marché Artisanal, where you'll find handcrafted jewelry, woven baskets, textiles, and wood carvings. Bring your bargaining spirit — this is the perfect place to pick up souvenirs that actually mean something.

Market Run & Cooking Class | Horseback Riding at Park Hann

Today we get to the roots of Thieboudienne, Senegal’s beloved national dish and the spiritual ancestor of Jollof rice. We’ll join a local host family for a traditional cooking class starting with a bustling market run, and ending with everyone eating from the same shared plate, just as it's done across the country.

This isn’t just food. It’s culture. Family. Legacy.

After lunch, we’ll ease into nature with a horseback ride through Park Hann, one of Dakar’s greenest escapes. Sunset, fresh air, and serenity the perfect blend before our final day.

Safari Park | Goree Island & The Door of No Return

Our final day begins with a visit to Bandia Reserve, where lions, zebras, rhinos, and giraffes roam wild. It’s a close encounter with Africa’s majestic wildlife and a reminder of nature’s raw power and beauty.

Then, we close the trip with reverence and reflection on Gorée Island. Once a key stop in the transatlantic slave trade, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the House of Slaves, stand at the Door of No Return, and take a moment of stillness.

This isn’t just the end of a trip it’s a return. A reconnection. A promise to carry these memories forward.
