The Spain Adventure Trip  - Summer 2023

Adventure Dates

August 25th - September 3rd, 2023

Magic is just around the corner.

A luxurious and intimate Mediterranean adventure this summer.

Join us for opportunity to immerse oneself in the natural treasures and wonders of one of the world's Unesco biosphere reserves and blue zones. Treat yourself this summer to 10 enlivening and unforgettable days spent living well in the awe-inspiring city of Barcelona and island of Menorca, Spain.

Over the years of guiding adventure trips in Spain these people and places have become like family and I cannot wait to share these epic experiences and kindred spirits with you all on our Spanish Adventure Tour.

Together we'll explore, soak up, and make the most of all of the beauty, culture, art, music, delicious foods, nature, and crystal clear waters around us. No shortage of adventure to be found within the city and heart of Barcelona and the picturesque and exquisite island of Menorca.

A healthy dose of adventure and stand up paddle boarding coupled alongside opportunities to explore, get creative, sail, practice yoga, relax, learn, and lend a helping hand in a 1/2 day service and volunteer project.

This trip offers so much meaning in that it's not only a moment to enjoy ourselves but also a moment to give back to others, safely and with support explore our edges and comfort zone, and create or continue a daily ritual of self-care and self-love.

After a few days of drinking up the magic and essence of the city-life in Barcelona, we will head to the charming and beautiful island of Menorca for a week to slow down and spend more time on the water, getting lost on the inviting cobbled-stone lanes of the village, and out in nature.

This luxurious adventure vacation offers something unique and special for all travelers, paddlers, adventurers, nature lovers, and kindred spirits to enjoy.

This transformational adventure trip sells out each year so don't hesitate to book your space on the sailboat soon. Save $200 on your adventure if you register before October 1st, 2020.

Suitable For All Levels // Please Note:

This Spanish Adventure Tour is appropriate for all levels of paddlers, and adventurers from beginners to pro paddlers. You do not need to have previous paddling experience to attend, however it is suggested.

Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is a city with a wide range of original leisure options that encourage you to visit time and time again. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and famous for Gaudí and other Art Nouveau architecture, Barcelona is one of Europe’s most beautiful, creative, vibrant, and trendiest cities.

It’s a hub of new trends in the world of culture, fashion and cuisine. It combines the creativity of its artists and designers with respect and care for local traditions. The charm and slower pace of the old town, the avant-garde vibe of more modern neighbourhoods, and the fast pace of one of the world’s most visited cities coexist in Barcelona.

Barcelona is a showcase for the latest developments in fashion. Strolling around its streets you can discover a world of options for a day of shopping. From glamour and major brands in iconic stores set in emblematic buildings, such as the Paseo de Gracia or Avinguda Diagonal, to alternative and innovative design in areas such as the Born district. Barcelona is also brimming with traditional shops and you can visit century-old stores and ateliers that will surprise you with their attention to detail.

The Mediterranean character and streets full of ambience also set the trend in Barcelona. The possibilities are almost endless, ranging from popular options such as a stroll down Las Ramblas or traditional markets such as La Boquería, to relaxing moments on the city beaches or the many pavement cafés in the old town. You can even discover the city in an original way with Barcelona Tourist Office’s programme of tours. These include guided and themed tours; routes in vintage cars, or on Segways or bicycles; boat tours, and helicopter flights.

A city to visit again

Barcelona draws visitors to its famous sights, like the Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. But they can also discover a city full of pleasant surprises on each trip.

A walk along the seafront, evenings on a rooftop terrace with views over the city skyline, spacious parks such as Parc de Montjüic or Ciutadella, the marina, Olympic village, and everything to do with FC Barcelona; a range of options for new experiences on each visit.

Culinary options are also varied, with world renowned haute cuisine restaurants, traditional Catalan dishes, food markets, and establishments that take you around the world with their flavours...

The city’s cultural agenda also includes major art centres, like the Picasso Museum, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, and CaixaForum; a wide range of festivals and one of Spain’s leading opera houses, Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Menorca, Spain

Traditionally more relaxed than its neighbors, Mallorca (Majorca) and Ibiza, it’s known for its endless beaches, from miles-long sandy crescents to rocky, turquoise-watered bays called “calas.” Pine trees fringe and decorate the coast. The lively and intimate capital, Mahon, is on a bluff overlooking a large harbor, with Georgian mansions and a church with 13th-century roots.

Menorca, the low-key and charming Balearic Island, has shied away from tourism – leaving pristine Spanish beaches, low-rise boutique hotels, two sun-bleached cities and a rural inland of whitewashed, hilltop villages.

As the northernmost Balearic island, Menorca encourages its visitors to slow down, relax and unwind. With 216 kilometres of coastline, from the soft white sand beaches of the south to the rugged red coast of the north, the island is a fortress of calm.

The whole island has been recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1993, thanks to the abundance of native flora and fauna, the posidonia meadows in its clear waters and the birds of prey and flamingos that live on the shores.
