About this trip

Classes are Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8:30-9:30 am PST

The Strength Card

September 7th - 18th

Upright or balanced position: courage, compassion, bravery, confidence, compassion, self-confidence, inner power

Reversed: self-doubt, weakness, low confidence, inadequacy, cowardice, forcefulness.

"Your resilience will greatly aid you and your fearlessness means that you should have no issues speaking your mind."

I am excited to dance with the strength card this week as it has such great reminders as we transition into a new season. This card invites us to revel in the practice of refining the powers of instinct. We can certainly explore the physical strength that develops through the dance as well as strengthen our connection to the wild places within. Just like the fears that instinctually pop up when we enter a dark forest, we can use our new found strength and awareness to dive into the wild forest within.

'By giving away food we get more strength. By bestowing clothing on others we gain more beauty. By donating abodes of purity and truth we acquire great treasures. ~ Buddha

The Magician

September 21 - October 2nd

Upright position: willpower, desire, being resourceful, skill, ability to concentrate, manifestation

Reversed Position: manipulation, cunning, trickery, wasted talent, illusion, deception.

'Remember that you are powerful, create your inner world and outer world will flow.'

"You must become the change you want to see in the world." ~ Gandhi

"The light of inspiration sparks the center of your heart. Golden and pure, this consciousness has birthed a spectrum of color that surrounds you and protects you each day. You are given blue for clarity and insight, yellow for radiant life force, pink for sweetness, red for passion, and purple of higher knowledge. You are blessed with a rainbow consciousness." -Triple Goddess Tarot

In our WildCore practice: Let's encourage more magic this week and dress in the colors that inspire the energies we are craving to connect with. Like the quote above, we can choose what would serve us the best for the day.

We will continue the 'Dancing the Living Tarot' Series through the end of September 2020

The WildCore Online Summer Sessions is set up in two week chunks, so you can pick and choose the weeks that work for you OR commit to all the sessions and dive into this journey of embodiment inspired by the living tarot.

So what is the living tarot? I made up the 'living' part due to my experience pulling a card each day and opening to it's magic. For many years my practice was to simply look at the photo and allow any part of it to inform me creatively. Over the past two years I have read from the book by Isha Lerner "Triple Goddess Tarot". Her writing includes alchemy from the divine feminine, along with an archetype and a plant essence for support. I plan to use her book as my main source of inspiration.

Dancing with the tarot all summer is basically a research journey to connect with it's 500 year old history, our present day global transformation, and all the ways the dance & metaphor can energize a new level of awakening into our bodies and evolving consciousness.

There is so much to learn about Tarot, but from my research I have found that it started as a game, similar to Bridge. The deck likely originated in Northern Italy in the late 14th century. There are many versions to the story of how it evolved into a mystics guide to telling the future & a conduit between the conscious and unconscious self. I will leave that research up to you!

As part of your research you can experience the 14 cards I have picked for our dancing collective. We will spend one week on each card and dive into it's message, archetype and energy to spark deeper insight to our soul's journey. The movement, music and metaphor will condition the body, spark your creativity and reveal your untamed self-expression. It is designed for everyBody!

The Summer Session includes classes on

*Monday-Wednesday-Friday mornings at 8:30-9:30 am PDT,

*A link with education, food for thought, journal inquiries, alignment tip video, playlist and art integration.

The second week we will explore The World card, which connects us to fulfillment, achievement and completion along with the shadows of each. The archetype is Awakened Aphrodite.

WildCore is just what I needed. After years of various freeform dance and choreography based classes, WildCore hits the spot with a weaving in and out of movement phrases and wisely led free exploration. Brietta flirts with mastery, but what I really love, is the grounded, lighthearted and respectful way of connecting with her own dance and ours. Mollia Jensen

Brietta is an inspiration. She is able to involve all students as a collective, even over zoom. We all feel connected. A gifted dancer and choreographer, Brietta is playful and encourages everyone to find the movements to help themselves grow healthier, stronger, and more in balance. Each class is a workout and a soulful exploration.

"WildCore" movement is wonderful for the body and soul! I have really enjoyed the dance routines as a spiritual practice and physical workout. Brietta is a skilled facilitator and gracefully weaves various elements into the routines. I highly recommend the classes and offerings! Heather, Southern Oregon

I didn't have far to go to the venue. The people who were from out of town seemed very well taken care of, lodged and fed. Soul Motion with Michael Molin-Skelton was amazing, nourishing, catalytic, enjoyable, well paced and lovely. He created the space beautifully and led some wonderful exercises with plenty of room for exploration and growth. I enjoyed the company/other participants a great deal and look forward to more Soul Motion experiences in the future.
