About your trip

This is not your typical yoga retreat.

Most yoga retreats promise relaxation.

This one promises awakening.

The Temple Rebellion is a journey for curious, courageous people who believe spirituality and justice belong in the same conversation. We’re gathering in Cambodia — home to the ancient Khmer Empire and the breathtaking temples of Angkor — for six unforgettable days of sacred exploration, yoga, cultural immersion, and soul-expanding conversations.

Together we’ll wander jungle temples older than most nations, receive blessings from Buddhist monks, practice yoga in a beautiful wellness sanctuary, and explore one of the most awe-inspiring spiritual landscapes on Earth.

This is sacred travel for people who give a damn — activists, seekers, rebels, and dreamers who want to experience the world deeply, responsibly, and in good company.

Come for the temples.
Stay for the conversations.
Leave profoundly changed.

The Jungle Once Held an Empire

A thousand years ago, Angkor was the center of one of the most powerful civilizations in the world.. Today, Cambodia is one of the most spiritually powerful places on Earth.

The temples of Angkor were once the beating heart of a vast empire — places of devotion, ritual, philosophy, and cosmic imagination. Walking through them today feels like stepping into a living myth.

Its temples weren’t just architecture — they were cosmology carved into stone. Maps of the universe. Places where philosophy, spirituality, art, and politics collided.

Today the jungle has reclaimed much of the empire, wrapping ancient towers in vines and roots, creating one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on the planet.

During The Temple Rebellion, we’ll explore these sacred spaces with expert local guides, meditate and practice among ancient ruins, and witness the living spiritual traditions that continue to shape Cambodia today.

History lives here.

But this journey isn’t just about history.

It’s about reconnecting with your own power — and remembering that spiritual practice has always been tied to courage, justice, and transformation. And once you walk through these temples, it will live in you too.

Our Sanctuary in the Jungle

Spacious suites, serene yoga shalas, bio-pools, a beautiful spa, and nourishing cuisine create the perfect rhythm for the week: adventure by day, restoration by night.

Morning yoga.

Temple explorations.

Sunset swims.

Long dinners with brilliant humans who care about the world.

This is the kind of place where conversations run deep, laughter runs late, and friendships form faster than you expect.

Sacred Adventures We'll Share

Cambodia is layered with spiritual and cultural traditions that stretch back centuries.

During this journey we’ll experience some of the most powerful places in the region, including:

• A full-day exploration of the Angkor temple complex
• A traditional Buddhist monk blessing
• A boat journey through the floating villages of Tonlé Sap Lake
• A pilgrimage to Phnom Kulen, Cambodia’s sacred mountain and waterfall
• A restorative spa treatment
• Daily yoga and meditation

This trip is designed to balance exploration, rest, and connection.

And while the temples will be unforgettable, the real magic often happens between the planned moments — over dinner, on temple steps, or during conversations that stretch long into the night.

The Kind of Humans You'll Meet Here

This retreat attracts a particular kind of traveler.

People who are curious.
People who care about the world.
People who want to experience places deeply rather than simply check them off a list.

You might be an activist, a creative, a teacher, a business owner, a leader, or someone standing at the edge of your next chapter.

What matters isn’t what you do.

It’s that you’re awake enough to know the world is bigger than the stories we’re usually told.

And brave enough to go see it for yourself.

Who This Trip Is For

Curious travelers, thoughtful humans, and people who believe spirituality and justice belong in the same conversation. Expect meaningful connection, deep exploration, and adventurous days.

We’ll explore temples, walk historic sites, and uneven paths, and engage in light hiking. Yoga practices are adaptable for all levels, and guests are always welcome to rest or explore at their own pace.

If Want to Run Through History....

Two days after our retreat ends, on December 6, 2026, something extraordinary happens.

The Angkor Wat International Half Marathon takes runners through the ancient temple complex at sunrise — past stone gates, jungle paths, and sacred ruins.

Guests are welcome to extend their stay and join me for the half marathon or 10K if spots are still available.

Running through Angkor at sunrise is one of the most unforgettable experiences in the world.

And if you know me…

you know I’ll be there.
