About this trip

Our adventure begins in Medellín, Colombia'ss second largest city nestled in the Aburrá Valley of the Andes Mountains.   Medellín is often called the Capital of The Flowers and The Land of Eternal Spring.  We will explore a neighborhood that just 20 years ago was considered one of the most dangerous places on earth.  This community has gone through an incredible transformation though means of art, dance, and hip hop music.  We will explore the history of this area through a graffiti tour and later do service work in the community.   From Medellin we will head on a jungle white water rafting adventure where we will learn all about the amazing jungles unique biodiversity.  Next, we will head to the village of Guatape where we will sea kayak and climb.  Known as the town of the Zócalos (mural type paintings that decorate the walls and buildings of the town), Guatapé is one of the most colorful cities in the world.
