Focusing on The Sun card, leading us to the Summer Solstice and the time of celebration and ceremony! Archetype is the 'Setting Sun Woman' from The Thirteen Original Clan Mothers book.

Over centuries humans have come together in celebration during the time of the Summer Solstice. I would like to take this week and sense the cycle of life energy that  originates from the Sun. In the dance we can embody our inner sunshine and light up the dark places ready to be transformed. As we see the strength and activation for justice and peace within this civil movement, we can find our place of serving the whole. The child in the picture represents the innocence and pure attention to the moment that young humans play in. The child can remind us to live free from the entanglement of worry and fear. Children have that open gateway to feel deeply, express it and then move on. This can be a strength to call in with uncertainty around every corner.

The Moon Card will be our thread for the 2nd week, as the New Moon on Father's Day invites us to touch in to our feminine energy and give birth to things, slowly. The Archetype is The Moon Goddess and we will explore the weaving of ancient rituals and our own intuition. 

Begins week of June 29 - July 10th

We will focus on the Star card first, which is about initiation. The archetype is The Queen of Heaven and the Wild Rose and Apple Blossom will be our support from nature.

The second week will be on The Lovers Card, where we spark qualities of loyalty, commitment and union. The archetype is Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty and once again Rose will support this two week journey.

Begins July 13 - 24th

You will have a guest WildCore Teacher leading you through the first week with the Empress, which is all about the Fullness of Life. The archetype is Earth Mother and Mother of the World.

The Emperor, once again we work with the path of balance from a more masculine view point. The archetype is the goddess Athene.

The Hermit-

Is all about self-reflection, introspection, contemplation, solitude and a search for self.  The reversed is: loneliness, isolation, recluse, rejection, being anti-social (from Labyrinthos.ca)

The summer season is such an expressive, outward masculine time of year. We have rested all winter for this time to go, do, be, play. To stay balanced it is super important to find your moments of pause in the garden,  meditation on a mountain top, or oneness with the waters. In our daily life we can find these sweet moments of deep listening to the core (your wild core) of your being. This supports your life visions, the clear actions you take, the strengthening of your intuition and building of new inner capacities.  

In our WildCore Movement practice we will be dancing a routine with all BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) music artists. The routine really gets us moving, expressing, shaking and opening to a deeper sense of connection to our physicality. When we do this we have the opportunity to move past any nonsense of the mind, move with and through emotions, clear & cultivate our energies, so we may arrive even closer to our deepest core.  Each time we land at our Core, we may discover more strength, enrichment, and attunement to the wild landscape within. 

The High Priestess-

This week of August 3-7 will be taught by the lovely WildCore Teacher Alba Elana!

The High Priestess is all about the unconscious, intuition, mystery, spirituality, higher power, inner voice

The High Priestess has chosen to embody the divine feminine at the soul level. The main word that describes this card is Sanctuary. It is a perfect card to work with after the Hermit, as it offers a deeper embodiment of the spiritual power that comes from deep listening and contemplation. The High Priestess reminds us to take Pilgrimages to holy sanctuaries. This could be your favorite place in nature, your garden, your imagination. Since we aren't flying much, you can revisit sacred sights in your imagination and integrate their inspiration. Perhaps there is a labyrinth near you or maybe its time to create your own. The High Priestess is all about sacred living. You get to embellish your life with rituals with earth, water, fire and air.

The Justice Card

August 10 - 14

In balance: justice, karma, consequence, accountability, law, truth, honesty, integrity, cause & effect. ~labyrinthos.ca

Reversed: injustice, retribution, dishonesty, corruption, unfairness

Energy: Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is the metaphor for the Justice Card and one that I use in WildCore.  It's message is similar to other cards in it's vertical connection to both earth and the sky or celestial realms. This tree lives with a natural spring that reminds us of our connection to the divine feminine. There are two snakes; one blue, symbolizing truth and honor; the other red, symbolizing passion for flesh.  There are two goddesses on either side of the tree holding bouquets of lilies, representing rebirth and balance.

This card asks you to open to a greater understanding of your karmic circumstances and conditions. Reminding us that our actions and thoughts have great power and ripple into the universe and back to us in creative ways. The Tree of Life as metaphor, reminds us of our strong support system and the well of wisdom we have collected throughout our life. As we establish these allies in our life, we gain more capacity to love, we open to higher principles of truth.

Fill your bowl to the brim

In our WildCore practice we will dance as the roots, the trunk and the branches of the tree. Allowing the embodiment of the Tree of Life to inform our cells and connect to trees as allies.

The Tower Card

August 17-21

In Balance: disaster, destruction, upheaval, trauma, sudden change, chaos

Energy: Kundalini Rising

In the traditional tarot this card is a symbol of release and liberation. It reminds me of the Hindu Goddess Kali, that wants you to live from your deepest core truth so passionately that she is willing to cause great destruction in order for you to wake up and make the shifts necessary. It feels like the Justice Card is a nice warm up for The Tower. We will embody the strength and support of our root system in order to heed to call of change. 

This card will introduce us to the Nigerian Goddess Oya (Goddess of Winds, Tornadoes and Lightening)

She will help electrify your inner life by burning any untruths and stepping fully into your destiny.

Nature's Healer in this card is Rescue Remedy

In our WildCore practice we will dance with our strengths and weaknesses. We will merge with the Air element within us and create our own inner windstorm to shift any old patterns of thinking and re-fresh with new possibilities. Get ready to move with Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms of lyrical, staccato, chaos, flowing and stillness. 

The Wheel of Fortune Card

August 24 - 28th

Upright or balanced position: change, cycles, fate, decisive moment, luck, fortune, unexpected events.

Reversed: bad luck, lack of control, clinging to control, unwelcome change, delay

The Triple Goddess Tarot explains the Wheel of Fortune Card as the 'Womb of Potential'.  This card symbolizes the wheel and the ongoing cycles of change, growth, integration and disintegration. At this stage of growth we are confronted with challenges that support us in developing a more transparent ego identity that breaks through fear and attachment. We are ready to continue our journey from a more heightened spiritual awareness, knowing that the limitations we feel in life are of our own construct and that our soul is eternal. 

The archetype we get to work with is the: Rainbow Goddess

She forms a rainbow bridge between the higher and lower worlds.

In our WildCore practice: We will bring attention to those parts of our physical body that hold energy or pain. We will bring awareness to our alignment and daily patterns that may be outdated.

The Fool

August 31 - September 4th

Upright position: beginnings, freedom, innocence, originality, adventure, idealism, spontaneity 

Reversed: reckless, careless, distracted, naive, foolish, stale, dull

This card historically connects us to character of the jester, the Joker, the Fool that whom was able to bridge the worlds of kings and queens along with the common folk. This bridge opens us to an inner freedom or lightness of the unknown. The Fool ignites an inner curiosity to travel and invite in new life experiences you never though possible or shied away from.  

The Archetype for this card is: The Fairy Queen

The realm she lives within holds a bridge between nature and humanity. Fairies support our dreams and encourages our imagination to  visualize all that our heart's wish to manifest.

In our WildCore practice we will explore inner freedoms of movement by focusing in on new ways of perceiving space, shape, connection and inspiration as we dance.
