"Lefkada is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea on the west coast of Greece and is connected to the mainland by bridge." Stunning turquoise waters, breathtaking views of neighboring islands like Skorpios, once owned by Onassis, characterize this picturesque island. Lefkada caters to the modern traveler and offers a variety of activities for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Yet, it maintains its charm through its traditional villages and ‘filotimo,’ the Greek word for unparalleled warmth and hospitality.
From Athens, you may take the public bus (KTEL), which takes you through the beautiful Greek countryside. Up-high seating offers a view of the scenery. It leaves Athens at 7 am and reaches Lefkada by about 12.30. Once you arrive in Lefkada (main town), you may hire a taxi or rent a car from the town of Lefkada to take you to the villas.
Already registered attendees are interested in hiring a private coach from Athens, leaving on June 3rd. If you're interested in this option, you will be connected with the attendees upon registration.
A private taxi can also take you to the Villas. Just look at TripAdvisor for highly rated taxi services in Greece.
From the island of Corfu you can take a ferry to Igoumenitsa. From here you can rent a car and drive to Lefkada.
Google Maps offers accurate directions to the Villas.
Aktion Airport at Preveza is the nearest airport. Flight offerings vary seasonally. Check with your travel agent about flying into Preveza. This airport is about a 60 minute drive from the Villas.
