Imagine waking above the Bay of Naples, with Vesuvius on the horizon and Capri floating offshore. For seven nights, Villa Solaria, a private hillside villa in Massa Lubrense, belongs only to our small circle of women. No other guests and no strangers at breakfast. Just the terrace, the pool, the lemon trees and the sea.
This isn't a tour and it isn't a hotel.
It's the Amalfi Coast the way most travelers never get to see it: a private boat just for us to Capri, gliding past sea caves and swimming in water so clear it looks lit from below.
A cooking class in the villa kitchen, where we make the meal we'll share that night.
Long dinners with local wine on the rooftop terrace as the light turns gold.
And a last evening in Positano, with a farewell dinner to close the week.
Most of us have spent decades in motion: doing, fixing, holding everything together. So our mornings begin with yin, the soft, receptive energy of rest and simply being.
We'll meet on the terrace for slow, flowing Qigong and walk the circle together, an ancient Baguazhang practice of moving around a shared center that you're unlikely to find on any other retreat. No experience needed, just a gentle way to let each day begin from the inside out.
Morning practice is led by Ilona Goanos, a certified Qigong teacher in the Liang Zhen Pu Baguazhang lineage and the writer behind The Pebble in Your Shoe.
Each evening, artist Jenny Santa Maria leads our circle. As the day softens, we gather to talk honestly about the lives we're living and the ones we're still becoming, and then we pick up a brush.
Jenny's beginner-friendly travel sketching and watercolor sessions bring that same slow attention to seeing: the curve of a lemon, the blue of the bay, the face of a new friend across the table.
By the end of the week, you'll have a small painted journal of your days in Italy. All supplies are provided, and no experience is needed, just curiosity.
Everything is taken care of. Your room, breakfast each morning, six dinners with wine, the private Capri boat day with lunch on board, the cooking class, the Positano afternoon, the art supplies and your arrival shuttle from Naples are all included.
You simply arrive, and let yourself be looked after.
This is a women-only week for women in their third chapter who are done postponing joy.
And if you'd like to see more, we've planned for that too.
Walk the ancient streets of Pompeii with a private guide. Spend a day on the Amalfi Coast, with cappuccino and cornetti in Amalfi, the gardens of Villa Cimbrone high above the sea in Ravello, and the color-washed lanes of Vietri sul Mare. Or trade the ruins for a lazy beach day and a long seaside lunch.
These small-group outings are optional and booked separately, so you can fill your free days with adventure or spend them by the pool with a book. The choice is always yours.
Come alone or with a friend, and leave remembering what it feels like to have a whole week that belongs to you.
We're keeping the circle small, and spaces are limited.

Some of us want to see everything, and some of us want to finally finish a book by the pool. Both are perfect. On our open days, stroll and shop in Sorrento, hop on a public boat tour along the Amalfi Coast, swim, nap, sketch on the terrace, or join an optional excursion. Wherever the day takes you, come back to the villa for our 6 pm circle, where we'll gather to sketch, paint and share the day.
Gentle, all-levels Qigong and movement each morning, led by Ilona. A generous Italian breakfast to start each day.
Each evening we gather to sketch, paint and talk. Artist Jenny Santa Maria guides beginner-friendly travel sketching and watercolor, with all supplies provided and no experience needed. We'll share honest conversation about the lives we're living and the ones we're still becoming.
Two relaxed evenings of home-cooked regional dishes and wine, served on the rooftop terrace (weather permitting) as the sun sets over the Bay of Naples.

Suggested €10 per day for the villa staff. For drivers and boat crews, €2–5 per person for short rides and €5–10 for a full day is customary.

Getting to the airport or your next destination on June 5 is up to you. Guests leaving at the same time can share a driver and split the cost, and we'll help you coordinate.
Day 1 · Saturday, May 29
Benvenute! Welcome to Villa Solaria
Arrive in Naples and ride together to Massa Lubrense on our group shuttle, or make your own way to the villa. If you're traveling on your own rather than taking our group shuttle, please plan your arrival for VIlla Solaria's check in time of 3:30 pm or later.
Settle into your room, breathe in the sea air and unpack for a whole week. In the evening we gather on the terrace for a welcome aperitivo overlooking the sea, then sit down to our first dinner together.
Day 2 · Sunday, May 30
A Day to Make Your Own
Begin with morning Qigong, then let the day unfold as you choose. Stroll and shop in Sorrento, hop on a public boat tour along the Amalfi Coast, swim, or stretch out by the pool with a book. Wherever the day takes you, come back to the villa for our 6 pm circle, where we'll sketch, paint and share the day.
Day 3 · Monday, May 31
Capri by Private Boat
After morning Qigong, we head to the port for a full day at sea. Take in the island's dramatic coastline, swim in turquoise water, and spend time ashore exploring Capri's lanes and shops. Back at the villa, our evening circle is followed by an authentic Neapolitan pizza party.
Day 4 · Tuesday, June 1
Ancient Wonders or Beach Days
Morning Qigong, then choose your adventure: a guided tour of Pompeii, a beach day in the fishing village of Nerano (both optional, at additional cost), or a slow day at the villa. We come together again for our evening circle.
Day 5 · Wednesday, June 2
A Day to Make Your Own, and a Cooking Class
Morning Qigong, then a free day to spend however you wish: Sorrento, a boat tour, the pool or a quiet corner of the terrace with your sketchbook. After our evening circle, we head into the kitchen with the villa's chef to make a traditional meal, then sit down to enjoy what we've made.
Day 6 · Thursday, June 3
Ravello & Vietri sul Mare, and a Free Night for Dinner on Your Own
After morning Qigong, join an optional day trip along the Amalfi Coast: cappuccino and cornetti in Amalfi, the gardens and views of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, lunch, and an afternoon wandering the colorful lanes of Vietri sul Mare. Or enjoy another day at your own pace. Tonight is yours: gather a few new friends and find a local trattoria for dinner.
Day 7 · Friday, June 4
Closing Circle, Positano and Farewell Dinner
We begin with morning Qigong and our closing circle, a time to honor the week and what each of us is taking home. Then we travel to Positano for an afternoon of wandering its steep, colorful streets, followed by a farewell dinner in the hills above the town.
Day 8 · Saturday, June 5
Arrivederci
Enjoy a final breakfast and slow goodbyes. Checkout is at 10 a.m. Guests heading to the airport or on to their next destination at the same time can share a ride. You'll leave with a sketchbook full of memories and a circle of women who know you. Our itinerary is thoughtfully planned, but on the Amalfi Coast the weather and the sea sometimes have their own ideas.
**On rare occasions we may adjust the schedule, always with your comfort and safety in mind.
