Colchani and Micro Salt Factories:
En route to the Salt Flats, a stop is made in Colchani town, renowned for its local shops offering handicrafts and wool clothes. Here, insights into Bolivia's salt production are gained.
Eyes of Salt:
Upon entering the Salt Flats, a unique geological phenomenon is observed: aquifers formed by underground rivers beneath the expansive Salar.
Flags Square and Salt Hotel:
Next, the journey leads to Flags Square, adorned with flags from countries worldwide. Here, the Dakar Monument is admired, followed by a visit to the first hotel entirely made of salt, where lunch is enjoyed.
Salar de Uyuni:
Photo Session Time! Time is dedicated to capturing panoramic, perspective, and mirror reflection photos (if conditions permit).
Incahuasi Island: In the afternoon, we reach Incahuasi Island, the largest island in the salt flats. Here, coral fossils and towering giant cacti are explored, with views of the Tunupa Volcano.
Sunset View: Later, the group witnesses the sunset over the softly pink-hued horizon of the salt flats, a unique spectacle. Following this, accommodation made entirely of salt is reached.
