The Quilotoa Lagoon is considered among the most beautiful in the world, its name from Quichua, “Quiru” tooth and “Toa” princess, is a caldera formed by the collapse of this volcano, occurred 800 years ago, with a depth of 250 m (820.21 ft) approximately and a diameter of 3 km. Its height is 3914 m (12841.21 ft). 

This small city is located in the province of Tungurahua, one hour from Ambato, 180 km from Quito, known worldwide for being the “adventure sports capital of South America”, it is also known for its hot springs, for its active volcano Tungurahua, which can be observed quietly from some trails.
