Three passes Everest trek is a unique experience providing the most amazing views throughout the Everest region. This trek combines three well-known passes, such as Renjo La Pass, Chola Pass, and Kongma La Pass. On this journey, you will visit the majority of the region's most stunning features as well as the highest passes. The main draws of this hike are Everest Kalapathar, Chola Pass, and Gokyo Ri.

This trek is considered as one of the most challenging trek in Nepal. This trek crosses three passes over 5,000 meters, offering unparalleled scenery and views, in Nepal’s Everest Region, which makes it one of the best trekking destination.

Best Time to trek

The best time for three passes Everest trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. During these seasons, the weather is mild, and the views of the mountain are clear. It is also the peak trekking season, so there will be more people on the trail.

It's not recommended to trek during monsoon (June to August), and winter (December to February) seasons, as the trail could be muddy, visibility can be poor, and it could be too cold and snowy.

SIGHTSEEING IN KATHMANDU VALLEY - KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE
Visit the UNESCO world heritage site, Kathmandu Durbar Square along with the tour guide in a private vehicle. Observe the typical wood-carved temples and buildings reflecting the ancient Kathmandu city.

After then we will be heading towards Swyambhunath. The monkey temple where you can observe the religious harmony and tolerance between the Buddhist religion and Hindu religion along with that enjoy the panoramic view of Kathmandu city.

Visit the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the biggest pilgrimage sites for the Hindu religion people in South Asia. Explore the surroundings, observe the ritual body cremating ceremony process of the Hindu people at the bank of holy Bagmati river.

Then visit another pilgrimage site nearby to the Pashupatinath Temple known as Guweyswori Temple. Explore the surroundings and then you will go to visit another UNESCO world heritage site Boudhanath Stupa. It was built in 600 A.D. and is the one of a kind of stupa reflecting Buddhism in the world. Explore the surroundings of Boudhanath Stupa and after completing your sightseeing get back to the hotel and rest.

KATHMANDU TO LUKLA & TO PHAKDING (2,860m/9,383ft)
You will fly to Lukla from Kathmandu. From Lukla, we will hike up to Phakding crossing many villages, and rhododendron forests on our way.

PHAKDING TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,480m/11,417ft)
We will trek to Namche Bazaar. The trail become harder as you move up to Namche Bazaar. It offers an interesting insight into how people survive in the region.

REST DAY AT NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,480m/11,417ft)
Today, you will acclimatize, relax, and explore the surrounding places. Namche Bazaar gives the magnificent views of many high peaks. You will also visit the local market.

Early in the morning, we will hike up to Thame. You will visit Nauje- a small monastery for Tibetan Nun’s.

THAME TO KHUMJUNG (3,790m/12,434ft)
We will begin the trek to Khumjung with an early start, climbing uphill to the monastery above Thame village. This village lies at the foot of the sacred peak, called Khumbila. The Monastery there was established approximately 340 years ago and is the head of a Yeti, popularly known as the Abominable Snowman.

KHUMJUNG TO PANGBOCHE (3,985m/13,074ft)
Today you will start hiking along the old but still used, Everest expedition trail. This trail also offers beautiful views of the mountain ranges and leads you upwards through the forest which gives off a lovely aroma of Juniper bushes. Finally, you will reach Pangboche and spend the night there.

Today, we start our walk towards Dingboche. Dingboche is at an elevation of 4410m so that means the trek is going to be quite challenging due to the elevation and the stones/rocks filled trail.
