Beginner American Mahjong & Dinner Night 🀄

Curious about the game everyone is talking about? Join us at Nome Schoolhouse for a fun, relaxed, hands-on introduction to American Mahjong paired with a delicious meal!

Whether you’ve never seen a tile before or just want to learn the basics in a friendly, social environment, this workshop is designed to get you playing right away. Think of it as a mix of Rummy and Dominoes—easy to pick up, highly strategic, and addictively fun!

Schedule:

• 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Arrive, unwind, and enjoy soup, salad bar & drinks.

• 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Mahjong instruction & gameplay.

What You’ll Learn & Experience:

• The Basics: Tiles, suits, reading the card, and basic gameplay rules.

• Hands-On Play: Jump straight into practice rounds with small groups—learning as you play!

• Social & Casual Vibe: Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where questions are encouraged and perfection is NOT required.

Who Should Attend:

• Skill Level: Absolute beginners! No prior experience needed. (If you use reading glasses, don't forget to bring them!)

• Ages: Adults & teens looking for a fun new obsession or social game night.

• Time: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM

• Cost: $27 per participant

• Food & Drink Included: Full soup & salad bar + 1 non-alcoholic beverage included with registration. (Additional food or drinks available for purchase separately!)

• All Supplies Included: Your registration covers instruction, food, and all game sets, tables, and seating.
