Itinerary for Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu
After you land at the airport, you will complete the necessary documentation and meet with our team representatives at the airport terminal gate. He/she will take you to the hotel and assist you in check-in. Later, in the evening, you will meet other team members over welcome dinner and end the day with lots of laughter.
Day 02:Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation
You wake up and have a delicious breakfast. After that, you will go on a short guided city tour during which you visit places like Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath Stupa, etc. These monuments are part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your tour guide will explain about the monuments. Later, you meet with your trek guide and talk about the trail. He will help you check all the gears and documents before the final packing.
Day 03:Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje [1410m, 6–7 hours]
You wake up early in the morning and drive to Chamje. It is going to be a long journey. During the drive, you get scenic views of lush green hills, rivers, dense forests, and small settlement areas. Chamje is a small fine village.
Day 04:Trek from Chamje to Dharapani [1960m, 5–6 hours]
From Chamje, the trail goes through the forested path and beautiful waterfalls. Trekking through small villages, you will cross a suspension bridge and ascend steeply to Tal. Further, you go through Kodo village and continue walking towards Dharapani.
Day 05:Trek from Dharapani to Chame [2710m, 5–6 hours]
The trail steep ascends along the forested ridge. You pass by landslide areas and reach Chame. Further, the trail offers amazing views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Himal. You pass by a few small hot springs before reaching Chame for a night stay.
Day 06:Trek from Chame to Pisang [3300m, 5–6 hours]
The trail ascends and descends crossing many rivers and scattered settlement areas. You ascend on a steep and narrow valley path enjoying Panungda Danda rock face, a huge 1,500 meters rock rising from a river. From here, you trek observing views of Annapurna II, Annapurna South, and Pisang Peak to reach Pisang village.
Day 07:Trek from Pisang to Manang [3450m, 5–6 hours]
You begin trekking following the Upper Pisang route. The trail ascends and leads you to Geru. During trekking, you get to see stunning views of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and other surrounding mountains. The trail will soon get dry and cold as you will be approaching Manang.
Day 08:Acclimatization day at Manang
Today, you will spend the day exploring the Manang village. It is a beautiful village with many ancient stupas and monasteries. You can go short hike to Bhojo Gumba, Braga village, or Gangapurna Lake as well. This rest day will help us to acclimatize with the altitude.
Day 09:Trek from Manang to Khangsar [3745m, 3–4 hours]
The trail continues towards Khangsar. Descending through a gorge, you move ahead enjoying Tilicho Peak’s views. The trail will further offer stunning landscape views. Further, passing through a small scenic settlement area, you reach the Khangsar river and reach Khangsar village.
Day 10:Trek from Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp [4140m, 5–6 hours]
Today, you move towards Tilicho Lake Base Camp. The trail passes through wide grassy fields and ascends to a small hill from where you can see the entire view of the valley. From here, the trail descends along a steep path and takes you to Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 11:Visit Tilicho Lake [4,949m] and trek back to base camp [4140m, 5–6 hours]
You will wake up early in the morning and ascend on a moraine & move along the hillside. While trekking, you get to see fantastic views of Mt. Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak, and many other Himalayan mountains. The trail will take you to Tilicho Lake where you will see breath-taking views. After spending some time at the lake, you drop down to the base camp for a night stay.
Day 12:Trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka [4040m, 4–5 hours]
Today, the trail leaves the Marsyangdi Valley and ascends to Yak Kharka. Now, you will find yourself amidst more alpine vegetation. Crossing a log bridge, you reach Yak Kharka that offers a wonderful view of Annapurna III and lovely yaks grazing lands.
Day 13:Trek from Yak kharka to Thorong Phedi [4420m, 3–4 hours]
From Yak Kharka, you ascend and cross a suspension bridge to reach Ledar. Further, the trail moves up through cliffs and reach Thorang Phedi. On the way, you get to see excellent views of Thorong Peak, Mt. Syagang, Mt. Khatungkan, and Mt. Gundang.
Day 14:Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La pass [5,416m] [3800m, 7–8 hours]
Today, the day begins early. You will be crossing the challenging Thorong La Pass. From Thorong Phedi, the trail ascends through a steep and rugged path. Upon reaching Thorong La Pass, you get to see outstanding landscape views. Further, the trail descends to Muktinath Temple, which is a very famous pilgrimage site in Nepal.
Day 15:Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom [2715m, 5–6 hours]
Visiting Muktinath temple in the morning, you descend and pass by Kali Gandaki gorge. The trail offers superb views of Mt. Dhaulagiri. Further, the trail moves through lovely meadows, crossing streams to take you to Kagbeni. You take a small break at Kagbeni for lunch and head to Jomsom.
Day 16:Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara [823m, 30 mins]
You will take a morning fight back to Pokhara. During the flight, you get to see aerial views of Annapurna Himalayas. Upon landing at Pokhara, you move to the hotel. you can rest for the day and explore the nearby tourist sites.
Day 17:Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu [1300m, 7–8 hours]
Today, you will drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. It will be a long scenic drive. After reaching Kathmandu, you head to the hotel. You will have the remaining day to you. You can visit monuments and do shopping. In the evening, you meet other team members over the farewell dinner.
Day 18:Final departure
You will fly back to your home. One of our team representatives will take you to the airport as per your flight departure time.
