About your trip

Tony Lupinacci - THE TRAINING

Arrival Day Oct 24th after 3pm

Departure Day Oct 30th before 10am

This is the inaugural offering of Tony Lupinacci THE TRAINING, a six night, 75 hour immersion into the heart of the practice and teaching style that Tony has developed through years of dedicated study and lived experience.

This training is open to both teachers who are looking to deepen and refine their voice, and practitioners who feel called to step more fully into their practice. It is a space for learning, steady practice, and a sincere connection to the path of yoga.

Throughout our time together, you will learn to teach in the signature style that Tony shares. This approach is rooted in clear, concise, and direct cueing that scans the body and builds a kind of internal map for the student. The language supports students in receiving the pose from the outside in while also experiencing it from the inside out.

Breath is central to this method. It becomes a form of meditation that creates space within the body and anchors awareness. Postures are held for longer periods of time, allowing for deeper observation, stability, and integration rather than constant movement or variation.

Each day will also include an afternoon Haṭha class rooted in traditional yoga. This training is grounded in a classical approach where the emphasis is on practicing yoga rather than creating or performing. The work is steady, attentive, and inward facing, cultivating a deeper internal awareness over time.

A central component of the training is learning to lead satsanga sādhana, a 45 minute seated practice that integrates mantra, prāṇāyāma, kriyā, and meditation. This is where the subtle practices come into focus and where students learn to hold space for stillness and inner connection.

The training will take place at Cocoon Portugal, a 275 acre coastal farm and retreat set along the breathtaking Atlantic coast of Portugal. Food and accommodation are included, allowing you to fully arrive, settle in and devote yourself to practice.

This training is not only about learning how to teach. It is about developing a relationship to practice that is honest, embodied, and sustainable, and allowing that to inform the way you guide and support others.

About your organizer

I began my practice over a decade ago in an attempt to metabolize deep grief and to understand the human condition through my own. After countless hours of practice and self-study, I began to shed the protective layers of my personality. I found myself thinking less and feeling more. I know now that our true nature is to love and to move from a space of open-hearted compassion. I aim to get students back to this simple truth.

My classes weave Ashtanga, Kundalini Gosh and Katonah Yoga together to create a rigorous inward exploration of the self. I also use vedic meditation, mantra and kriya as tools to reach higher states of consciousness through the physical form.

My goal is for practitioners to leave with a stronger connection to themselves and to all sentient beings.
